5) Texas Tech Red Raiders
Texas Tech is determined to build their football program back up to compete in a wide-open Big 12 Conference. The Red Raiders proved that this offseason by opening up the checkbook and landing multiple top players available in the portal. Adding talented playmakers around a roster that managed to see multiple key players return could allow for Joey McGuire's team to make a run for the Big 12 Championship this coming season.

1) Indiana Hoosiers
The Indiana Hoosiers put together an impressive campaign in year one of the Curt Cignetti era, which alone put the program back on the map. After losing their starting quarterback Kurtis Rourke to the NFL Draft following the Hoosiers' loss in the first round of the College Football Playoffs, the team quickly turned to the transfer portal, where they landed one of the top available QBs in Fernando Mendoza. Behind the leadership of Cignetti, IU could be poised to make noise yet again in the Big Ten, especially if they can build on the culture they set in stone last season.

2) Michigan Wolverines
The Michigan Wolverines may have had one of the best offseasons of any program in the nation, and it started when Sherrone Moore was able to flip the No. 1 overall recruit in the country, Bryce Underwood. Landing their quarterback of the future was vital for the Wolverines, especially after the horrid QB play they were forced to endure this past season. With a revamped offense and a loaded defensive unit, Michigan has all the talent on the roster to elevate itself firmly back in the conversation of the Big Ten, especially if Underwood can live up to the hype early.

3) South Carolina Gamecocks
Shane Beamer is building something special in South Carolina, and while the Gamecocks have become a popular program for recruits all around the nation, they've built the foundation around home-grown players like Heisman candidate LaNorris Sellers under center. Sellers alone puts South Carolina in the conversation to make some noise this coming season, but even then, many are overlooking just how good USC can be. With multiple core players returning on both sides of the ball and a strong portal class to join the list of incoming recruits, the Gamecocks could surpass expectations in 2025 if they're able to start off hot like they ended last season.

4) Ole Miss Rebels
Ole Miss just missed the College Football Playoffs last season despite finishing the year with a 10-3 record. Following a few losses that ruined their chances, the team was forced to see long-time starting quarterback Jaxson Dart depart the program to enter the NFL Draft. Fortunately for the Rebels, head coach Lane Kiffin put his squad in a prime position to hit the ground running with former top recruit Austin Simmons under center. Not to mention, the Rebels made out of the transfer portal, landing some of the top players available. The talent is there for Ole Miss to make some noise next season if they can avoid dropping must-win games like they did this past year.
