5. Jordan James to Score 2+ TDs
If the expectation is that there will be a lot of trips to the red zone for the Oregon Ducks, that means the expectation should be that running back Jordan James will have many chances to pound the ball into the endzone. The reliable veteran has a nose for scoring and has been outstanding all season as a consistent performer. James's number will be called if Oregon gets near the endzone. His odds of scoring one touchdown are not favorable to bet on (-190), but you can take a flyer on James to score two or more touchdowns at +240.

1. Will Howard OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
This game has all the markings of an offensive shootout and a quarterback duel. As usual, the weather in Pasadena is expected to be splendid and conducive to good offense. Both teams have a bevy of weapons in the passing game, and both coaching staffs know they will need a lot of points to win this game. Will Howard’s passing touchdown over/under is set at 1.5, and taking him to go over that number is one of my favorite player props for this game.

2. Dillon Gabriel OVER 1.5 Passing Touchdowns
Dillon Gabriel’s passing touchdown over/under is set at 1.5, and I fully expect him to go over that number as both teams light up the scoreboard. Oregon has produced against excellent defenses before, and they'll do it again on Wednesday.

3. Evan Stewart OVER 40.5 Receiving Yards
If you believe the quarterbacks are in line for big days, there must also be a belief that at least a few wide receivers will have big days, and Evan Stewart is a big-game player for the Oregon Ducks. Tez Johnson is probably the top target for Gabriel, but his number is set at 75.5 receiving yards, which is not nearly as appetizing as Stewart’s 44.5 total yards number. Stewart is a good route runner and a reliable option for the Oregon Ducks, and I think he will exceed 50 yards in this contest.
4. Jeremiah Smith OVER 70.5 Yards and OVER 4.5 Receptions
In a game filled with outstanding athletes, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith stands alone at the top. The true freshman is an exceptional talent; I believe he is only getting started. Oregon has a good secondary, but they do not have anyone capable of stopping Smith if Chip Kelly and the Buckeyes make a concerted effort to feed him the ball, which is something I think they will do at the Rose Bowl. I like Smith to exceed his total for receptions (4.5) and receiving yards (70.5). Smith can be the best receiver in the country and might play like it at the Rose Bowl.
