5) UCLA Bruins
UCLA fell one game shy of bowl eligibility this season, and the inconsistency at the quarterback position was a significant reason. The Bruins may not be a premiere landing spot for Salter, but the interest from UCLA is there. The quarterback would likely have the chance to get an offense built around his strengths and have the opportunity to play in the Big Ten conference against other top programs in the nation. The Bruins have reportedly shown interest in Salter, and while the seriousness behind UCLA being in the mix may not seem real now, don't put it past DeShaun Foster, who's shown the ability to be a players coach.

Top 5 Landing Spots for QB Kaidon Salter in the Transfer Portal
Kaidon Salter has officially become one of the top quarterbacks in the transfer portal after the Liberty star announced his decision to move on from the Flames with his senior year approaching. The Texas native is coming off a lackluster season where he only threw for 15 touchdowns and six interceptions, but over the last few seasons, he's shown plenty of flashes of his potential. With 56 passing touchdowns and only 17 interceptions on his resume, his fit in a top program could be the opportunity he needs to show he's a top quarterback prospect in next year's NFL Draft class.
1) Syracuse Orange
Syracuse is coming off one of the best seasons in program history after finishing the regular season with a 9-3 record. The Orange are gearing up toward their bowl game matchup against the Washington State Cougars, but that hasn't stopped the ACC squad from looking ahead to next season. With starting quarterback Kyle McCord set to enter the NFL Draft, the team is reportedly set to host Liberty star Kaidon Salter for a visit as the transfer quarterback looks for his next home. Suiting up for the Orange would allow Salter to suit up against ACC-level teams with a chance to lead the Orange to the College Football Playoff. With head coach Fran Brown changing the culture at Syracuse, the time to win is now, and grabbing another elite quarterback to slot into their explosive offense, the fit seems like a no-brainer for both sides.
2) Auburn Tigers
The Auburn Tigers are another program coming off a lackluster season this year after failing to clinch a bowl game. However, some may consider Hugh Freeze's squad to be a quarterback away from contending in the SEC, and fortunately for him, his former play-caller could be the answer. Before rebuilding Auburn, Freeze was the head coach at Liberty, where he recruited and landed Salter. Now, a chance to compete against SEC competition and reunite with his former head coach could be an ideal landing spot.
3) Colorado Buffaloes
The Colorado Buffaloes are set to lose starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders to the NFL Draft this coming offseason. And while the team seemingly already has a plan after landing five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, head coach Deion Sanders could elect to have the freshman sit his first year if they can land Salter. Colorado would offer the Liberty transfer the chance to compete immediately and with multiple explosive offensive weapons at his disposal. It is a win-win scenario for both sides, but obviously, only if Kaidon Salter can start immediately. Nevertheless, with a visit lined up, the interest seems mutual from both sides.
4) Florida State Seminoles
Florida State entered this season with championship aspirations after landing DJ Uiagalelei in the transfer portal last offseason. However, the move seemingly backfired on Mike Norvell and the Seminoles, with FSU's offense looking like one of the worst units in the nation, and in large part due to the quarterback play. And while suiting up for Florida State after watching their 2-10 season unfold may not be the ideal situation for Kaidon Salter, who's looking to compete at a high level and raise his draft stock, the truth is Norvell is one of the best offensive-minded coaches in the nation. Nonetheless, with Uiagalelei set to return, the only way Salter will make the move to the ACC squad is if he's guaranteed the starting role. However, with a visit lined up, his role has already been discussed.
