How about New Mexico taking on Minnesota today at 4:30 p.m. in the rate bowl. No, I'm, I'm assuming that's a mortgage company. I have no idea, but it's New Mexico and Minnesota. The line opened up, Joe, 3.5. We're not seeing 1.5 in the marketplace in a total, that was 47.5 down to 43.5. Maybe they saw Minnesota might be starting Max Brosmer and bringing him back. Oh, no, that's the Minnesota Vikings. What could be the reason for the drop and what's your spread line here, Joe? Well, it, it's interesting because this game, uh, played at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, you know where that is there, uh, Donnie, and listen, Min Minnesota fans travel pretty well, but it's not like New Mexico's around the country here. Their fans will be in attendance, so this should actually be a pretty entertaining game. And really the big story in this one is we saw Minnesota look ahead, open up at as a 3, 3.5 point favorite. A lot of that has to do with the fact that, well, PJ Fleck is undefeated in both. Games, guys, with the Golden Gopher, 6-0 over the last six seasons, he is in bowl games. But the problem is, uh, the public loves Minnesota because they see a Big 10 team against the Mountain West team. Even though a pretty good Mountain West team and a mediocre Big 10 team, well, that's, yeah, we see a lot of public money. I mean, but the problem is, tickets, money on Minnesota, the line is moving back towards New Mexico now. We're seeing 1.5s in the marketplace, Donnie, which makes total sense. Be very careful with these mediocre Power 4 teams playing this group of 5 with a chip on their shoulder. Michigan took them pretty lightly earlier in the season, New Mexico. I remember how that worked out. So, I'd be careful. There's not a ton of crazy opt-outs in this game. PJ Fleck has a pretty young team there in Minnesota, but it appears we got our very first pros versus Jo's here today, Donnie. The pros love New Mexico. The Jos, they're all over Minnesota. Let's get after it, Florida International and UTSA from Gerald J. Ford Stadium. That's SMU's home ground here. And by the way, this line opened up, Joe, at a 9.5 point favorite. We now see 5.5 across the board and a total that looks like it's gonna be at 60.5 by the time we get underway tonight. The Ser pro, First Responders Bowl. What's the spread line for you, Joe? Well, my spread line and advice in this one is stay as far away as humanly possible, because when you see a line go from 9.5, 10, and it shoot down to 4.5, 5.5 points here, we've got a problem. And you wanna know the biggest problem, Donnie, is I can't for the life of me figure out who's playing in this game. UTSA is expected to be with. Out up to 20 of its players, 20, Donny, of its players in this game. And FIU wasn't that good to begin with, and half of their starters on the offensive defensive side won't be playing in this game. So my advice is, yeah, this is truly bowl season in a nutshell, is there are some games just worth not even looking at. This could very well be one of them. Now, we might have the perfect bowl game of the bowl season here, Joe. This is gonna take place tomorrow morning. Yes, Saturday morning, 11:00 a.m. It's Pittsburgh and it's East Carolina. This line opened up as a favorite towards Pittsburgh, Joe. Anywhere around 6 is that opening number. We're now seeing double digits across the board. Most outlets chiming in at 10.5 in the total, which that look-ahead number was 61.5. We're now seeing 52.5 in the marketplace. The Go Bowling, Military Bowl, Pittsburgh and ECU. What do you got, Joe, on a spread line here? Well, the big story here is who East Carolina is not going to have, and you gotta be on the lookout in these bowl games for this, right? East Carolina will not have its starting quarterback, Cayton Houser. He's in the transfer portal, already said he's not playing. Pitt's gonna be without their 2nd leading rusher and 2nd leading tackler on defense. Not to mention both of uh. Carolina's coordinators, the defensive and offensive coordinator, have left for new jobs. So we've got a lot of newness on the East Carolina side. So it's not a shock that we've seen the money and the line move towards Pittsburgh here. But what I do find interesting is the total, Donnie, because as much as uh Darduzi is known as a defensive guy. This guy has given up more points, 94, 72, 52, and 64 points are the last four bowl games that Pitt has played in, including a what, triple, quadruple overtime game last year. So, I would be careful with the total here. Yes, he's known as a defensive head coach, but the defense don't show up in bowl games for Nardduzi. Seems like a far away, like we just got round one of the playoffs in NCAA action. Oh, they're not playing again for two weeks, but hey, you get the holidays, you get through this weekend, you watch some NFL, Joe, by midweek next week, you're talking about some playoff football back in our lives, which starts on New Year's Eve, 7:30 p.m. The Hurricanes and the Buckeyes. Here's what's interesting to me, Joe, and I need your help on this too. Cause Miami is a good football team. Ohio State's a good football team, and everybody left in the, in the actual tournament is a good football team. The line sits at 9.5. It hasn't moved just about everywhere. Ticket count has Ohio State around 40 to 45% and a total of 42.5. The question I wanna ask you is, all season long, we talked about Ohio State being the best team in the country, but then you see them lose again. Indiana at a lower scoring game. Miami's got a great defense, can put pressure on the quarterback. Is this just too many points, or is the oddsmaker saying, oh, you can't, you better take Miami 9.5. That's way too many points. What's your feeling on this game, point spread-wise, a couple of days out? Well, I mean, I can tell you already, I mean, we, we know the public loves themselves from Ohio State, right, defending champions, and the public's looking at it, Donnie, as if, well, they gotta be this big a favorite for a reason, right? And yet we have not seen this line move one way or the other, right? Uh, and I think the Mario Cristobal effect is alive and well in the market. That means that the reputation of Mario Cristobal, uh, on a neutral. Sites in a big game, it's kind of hard to wrap your head around the idea that he's going to push the right buttons at the right time. But we don't know, uh, you know, this is a totally different world because nobody thought he was gonna be able to go to Pittsburgh and play in the cold. Nobody, it's, nobody thought he'd go to Texas A&M. So maybe, just maybe all that we think we know about Mario Cristobal's coaching ability, they'll throw it out the window when you got this kind of talent on the team. Let's bring in the coach Terry Ballon here. We need that insight because we got round two of the playoffs starting next week at the bowl sites, coach, we're just talking about Miami taking on Ohio State, close to a 10-point spread. How are we playing this out? Two really good defenses, coach. Really is, uh, it's a, it's an outstanding game. The, the, the spread's almost too enticing not to take the spread in this game. And I agree with what y'all just talked about, Mario. He, he struggled in decision-making a lot of big games down the road, and this is a big game for them. And, uh, but it's also a stance where Ohio State is a team that, uh, uh, they showed some cracks in the armor again against Indiana. So I think they have some too, but overall, I think, uh, they're just too strong of a football team overall. I think it's gonna be a battle. It's gonna be a struggle, but I do see Ohio State pulling away at the end. But I like the points. I'm gonna go with Miami and the points on this one. Their defense can match speed with Ohio State, uh, and their offensive line is elite at Miami, which is the two things they need to have. Yeah. Yeah, I really do. I mean, coach, and if it's, you know, back to back, I, it's hard to do, is it not in college football, coach? I mean, if, if Ohio State gets away with this one here against Miami, are in your mind, they still the favorite to beat? Yeah, I think Ohio State is probably, well, I, I've got them in Indiana probably pretty, pretty dang close, but I think they are the team to beat just because when it comes to late in the championship, uh, run, I, I always look back to talent. Who has the most talent. Talent, uh, the depth of talent, and Ohio State is still that team. Indiana covers it with great fundamentals and being fundamentally sound, but at this point, Georgia can be in the hunt, Texas Tech, Oregon, we've got outstanding and elite teams out there. There, Alabama people mising, uh, on the other end of the spectrum, uh, that still are talented enough to pull off something, but those would have to be upsets. Capital One Orange Bowl coach, they're gonna be played on New Year's Day, 12 o'clock start. It's Oregon and Texas Tech, two of the biggest payrolls. Who ever thought we'd say that in college football. And look at that line, coach, slight favorite to Oregon. Dan Lanning and the boys going up against Texas Tech. I love this game. How are you playing this one out? Boy, I'll tell you, this, this is my favorite. These are two of my sleeper teams and, uh, it's one I'm looking forward to playing. I don't think Texas Tech has played anybody with the talent that Oregon has, but Texas Tech has talents of their own. So it's basically the great defensive front of Texas. Tech versus the speed and running game of Oregon and, uh, and they'll win the dual-threat quarterback, I think goes to Oregon. But really, Texas Tech's had a month to prepare. I think they do a great job. I think the talent, I'm picking the upset here. I'm going with Texas Tech in this one. Well, they answered the questions, Alabama, about whether or not, uh, you know, we should look to fade them. They've advanced. Congratulations. Now you get to take on Indiana. What happens here, coach? Well, golly, this is probably the biggest matchup of, uh, mismatch of what we have left. I think if you're gonna say, is there gonna be any runaways, this possibly could be it. I mean, Alabama is gonna have to get a great performance. I think it comes down to Ty Simpson, not because he's the best player, because he has the most pressure on him. He's a quarterback on a team that cannot run the ball against a team that has no basic, uh, weakness. Weaknesses. Uh, rush defense, top 10 at Indiana. Uh, they can put pressure, they can score. I think that's a lot of pressure on Ty. I think they play as well as they can, but I think, uh, I, I've got to take the points and, uh, Indiana in this one. They're just too good overall, and I think Alabama has no running game, put a lot of pressure on a quarterback in a team that is more Alabama-like than Alabama. Coach of the SEC, we go in the Sugar Bowl, Ole Miss gonna take on Georgia. That look ahead line was 6.5. It still sits, coach, at 6.5 today. Look at those points. 56.5. Ole Miss, Georgia. We're expecting points in this one, are we, coach? Well, you know, both offenses, I mean, Ole Miss has scored points. They're balanced, they can run and they can throw, and they found a way to score points. Their quarterback has been fabulous. A lot of touchdown passes, very few interceptions. He had a perfect game against Georgia last time, and Georgia had a perfect game. 5 scores on their 5 drives to open up with, but Georgia is playing their best football. Georgia has had little distraction. and a lot of focus, a lot of time to prepare, almost a month to prepare for this Ole Miss team. Distractions at Ole Miss, they've been there, they've been able to overcome them, but I think they'll get, I think they'll, they'll be there and play well. But I'm thinking, I'm taking Georgia and then Georgia to cover on this one. Georgia is at that point where I think they probably are the SEC team that has a chance to compete for the national championship. Yeah, excited to watch this play out, coach.
