5 NFL Teams That Should be Worried After Week 4

Jacksonville Jaguars
A 24-20 road loss to the Houston Texans punctuates the Jacksonville Jaguars' 0-4 start. The Jags' inability to hold the lead late in games is the most concerning attribute of their early-season struggles.
Twice now, Jacksonville has blown a fourth-quarter lead on the road. First, the Jaguars let the Miami Dolphins score six points in the final 4:26 of their Week 1 contest, losing on a last-second field. They had a similar result on Sunday, giving up the go-ahead score to the Texans with 18 seconds to play.
Clock management and play-calling are two aspects of the job that coaches should excel at. As we've seen from Doug Pederson, he might not have the faculties to lead the Jaguars where they want to be.

Miami Dolphins
It's officially time for the Miami Dolphins to hit the panic button.
The AFC East basement dwellers were completely outmatched in Week 4, outgained by a 244 to 184 margin against the lowly Tennessee Titans. This was the Dolphins' third straight loss and the second consecutive game in which they mustered fewer than 205 yards on offense.
Somehow, Tyler Huntley was more ineffective than Skylar Thompson, completing 14 of 22 pass attempts for a meager 96 yards. The former Pro Bowl quarterback missed Tyreek Hill on a few open looks, allowing the Titans to settle into the box and stack up against the run.
Mike McDaniel's solutions thus far have left the Dolphins in choppy water. It's sink or swim time in South Beach.
New York Jets
Battling inclement weather is one thing, but it doesn't absolve the New York Jets of all their mistakes early this season. A tough showing in the rain underscores some of the most significant issues impacting the Jets.
First, age has finally caught up with Aaron Rodgers. The future Hall of Famer is averaging a career-worst 6.6 yards per pass attempt and 212.3 passing yards per game, negatively impacting Garrett Wilson's production. Secondly, Robert Saleh has made some questionable decisions with his running backs. Braelon Allen has been the superior rusher for the Jets, but Saleh hasn't brought out the bruising back as frequently as he needs to. That's kept New York out of the end zone on multiple occasions and reinforced some of the offensive concerns that have plagued the franchise in years past.
While the defense has stood up as expected, Saleh has been unable to maximize offensive production. A philosophy change is a prerequisite for sustainable success in New York.
Philadelphia Eagles
We wanted to credit the Philadelphia Eagles for addressing their defensive shortcomings this past offseason. However, passing defense appears to remain a primary concern moving forward.
Philadelphia let Baker Mayfield have a career day in Week 4. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers' pivot threw for 347 in Sunday's victory, becoming the third quarterback to throw for at least 241 yards and two touchdowns against the Eagles.
The Eagles' elite offense has been their saving grace over the last couple of years, but even that has come up short early in 2024. The Jalen Hurts-led unit has recorded 31 points in its previous two outings, failing to live up to its pedigree.
The once-proud Eagles head into their bye week with problems to address on both sides of the ball. If they don't come out the other side a better team, it's going to be a long march to the finish line.
Los Angeles Rams
Injuries have been a factor in the early-season woes of the Los Angeles Rams, but it doesn't excuse their 1-3 start. The Rams dropped a winnable decision against the Chicago Bears on Sunday, relegating them to the bottom of the NFC West pile.
Scoring efficiency is what's holding the Rams back early in 2024. Despite putting up a respectable 312.8 yards per game, the Rams have crossed the goalline just seven times through four games. They had multiple drives stall against the Bears, turning 322 yards into four field goals, a touchdown, and a failed two-point conversion.
This team would be nowhere without Kyren Williams. The second-team All-Pro has scored LA's last five touchdowns, accounting for every score in each of the past two weeks. That allows teams to game-plan for just stopping Williams, which will inevitably hurt their scoring efficiency even more.
