NFL Player Props: Wild Card Weekend Saturday Best Bets to Target

Lamar Jackson UNDER 49.5 Rushing Yards (-113)
Lamar Jackson is one of the most dominant quarterbacks in the NFL. That much is certain. Still, the two-time MVP hasn't always been at his best regarding taking on Mike Tomlin and the Steelers. We know Jackson's rushing upside every week, but that hasn't typically transpired against the Steelers. In two games against Pittsburgh this year, Jackson rushed for 46 and 22 yards. The number his prop is set at for this matchup is too high for my liking. Give me the under.
Spread: Ravens -9.5 | Moneyline: Ravens -590 | Total: 43.5
Gus Edwards Anytime Touchdown (+340)
Keep an eye on Gus Edwards's status for this matchup, but if he does suit up as expected, I love his prop to find the endzone. The Chargers aren't afraid to draw things up near the goal line for Edwards, knowing they want him to be a power back in tight. There are multiple mouths to feed in this backfield, but you must like Edwards's experience in this position. That doesn't even factor in the value of his price to score a touchdown.

John Metchie III OVER 22.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
With the number of injuries the Houston Texans have in their wide receiver room, John Metchie III is a reasonable player to target in this matchup. Metchie has playmaking ability, and it won't be a surprise if he's involved in Houston's direct game plan on Saturday. Metchie has exceeded the number in each of his last two games, highlighting his new role in an offense that badly needs him to step up.
Spread: Chargers -2.5 | Moneyline: Chargers -154 | Total: 42.5
Justin Herbert OVER 20.5 Rushing Yards (-113)
One thing that the Texans have struggled mightily with this season is opposing quarterbacks that can use their legs. Justin Herbert might not be your prototypical dual-threat signal-caller, but he's no stranger to rushing or scrambling if that's what the defense gives him. The Texans were among the league's worst teams at allowing quarterbacks to run the football, and we're not about to look away from this type of prop against Houston now.

Pat Freiermuth OVER 41.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
The Pittsburgh Steelers need some pass catchers to step up in the Wild Card round. Pat Freiermuth has developed a more significant role for the Steelers down the stretch, and if they trail as many expect them to in this matchup, they'll need their star tight end to be an equalizer. Freiermuth has hauled in 24 catches over his last five games, averaging 46.2 yards per game.
