Lamar Jackson - Baltimore Ravens
It's interesting to note that after coming off his second MVP, Lamar Jackson currently boasts the fifth-shortest odds to win back-to-back. With no reason to be hesitant about Jackson with the Baltimore Ravens, you'd likely have expected him to hold shorter odds. Jackson brings a strong arm and electric running ability. Even if you have questions about Jackson's ability to lead the Ravens in January and February, there's no reason to doubt his ability to win NFL MVP.

Patrick Mahomes - Kansas City Chiefs
Although it wasn't a dominant regular season for Patrick Mahomes in 2023, he turned it on during the postseason and helped lead the Kansas City Chiefs to back-to-back Super Bowl wins. Mahomes has won MVP twice during his six seasons as the starting quarterback for the Chiefs, and it's not a surprise to see him listed as the favorite during the offseason. As much as Mahomes can win this award on talent alone, there are likely better value picks in the field, including some of the other candidates listed here.

Josh Allen - Buffalo Bills
It feels like it's only a matter of time before Josh Allen pushes through and wins his first career NFL MVP. The talent has always been there, and so have the numbers. Of course, you'd like Allen to turn the ball over less frequently, but he can do it all with his big arm and athletic running style. Clearly, when Allen starts to run, few want to get in the way of his freight train frame. With a new-look offense taking shape in Buffalo, Allen can take the keys and run his way to an MVP.

C.J. Stroud - Houston Texans
It was a major coming-out party for C.J. Stroud during his rookie campaign with the Houston Texans. After putting up dominant numbers at Ohio State, Stroud didn't miss a beat during his debut season in the league. The Texans have invested in their offense this offseason, adding Stefon Diggs to the fold. With Stroud boasting a solid group of targets and game-changing talent, there's no reason to believe he won't be in the MVP conversation in 2024. Don't expect a sophomore slump from this talented signal-caller.

Joe Burrow - Cincinnati Bengals
If you're part of the Joe Burrow fan club, you likely want to throw the 2023 season out the window. The year started with an injury, which saw Burrow struggle out of the gate and concluded with a season-ending injury. It wasn't Burrow's year, but with what we've seen from him in the past, don't be surprised if he returns in a big way in 2024. Burrow has the talent to win his first NFL MVP and the weapons to help boost his stats. Look for Burrow to be right back in the conversation in 2024.
