Uruguay +180 vs. Brazil +160 (Sat. July 6 – 9:00 p.m. ET)
Uruguay will face Brazil in the most electric game of the Quarterfinals. Uruguay has not lost and has looked very strong, scoring nine and only conceding once. They’ve shown themselves to be worthy of the title of favorites.
Brazil may have come in with hype, but they stumbled out of the gate. A draw against Costa Rica dug them a hole, and while they got back on track against Paraguay, a tie in the last match against Colombia left them second in their group.
Neither side lacks star power, as Uruguay can count on Darwin Nunez, Federico Valverde, and Ronald Araujo. While Brazil has Rodrygo, Militao, Bruno Guimaraes, and Raphina.
Vinicius will be absent and, as Brazil’s best player, will be a big miss. Both teams stumbled in their last game. Uruguay needed a very tight goal to beat the US. At the same time, Brazil can feel lucky not to have lost with the chances it allowed.
This one is hard to call. At their best, both teams can impose themselves. All that matters is who shows up to play. Brazil will pass its most challenging test thus far in a shootout.
Brazil 3 - Uruguay 2
Argentina -230 vs. Ecuador +750 (Thurs. July 3 – 9:00 p.m. ET)
The current holder, Argentina, will get the Quarter Finals of the Copa America started against Ecuador. Ecuador had to grind out their qualification into the knockouts. An early loss to Venezuela put them in a hole, but they rebounded in a relatively easy win over Jamaica and saw out a nervy draw with the USA in their last group game.
For Argentina, it has been a lot smoother. They struggled a bit in front of goal and breaking down Canada’s defense but still won 2-0. Against Chile, they were again met with physicality and strength but broke the deadlock to edge the 1-0 win. In their last game, they rotated their squad and still swept Peru away in a 2-0 win.
Ecuador's path to victory will involve defending deep, being physical and frustrating, and hoping for a moment of quality on the counter. It doesn’t seem likely, but Ecuador lacks quality and ideas, especially in the final third. Meanwhile, despite questions about Lionel Messi’s fitness, Argentina has abundant quality and top-tier decision-making. The path to another Copa America won’t end here for La Albiceleste.
Argentina 3 - Ecuador 0
Venezuela +160 vs. Canada +195 (Fri. July 5 – 9:00 p.m. ET)
Canada will look to continue making Copa America history as they face Venezuela in the Quarterfinals. The Canadians have acquitted themselves well, making things difficult against Argentina even in a loss. They beat Peru in a physical match and ground out a result against Chile.
Venezuela started the tournament by beating Ecuador and never looked back. They won all three matches and qualified to be at the top of their group for the first time in the Copa America. They’ve been excellent in defense, only conceding once.
Canada has struggled to finish chances despite having talented players in its attack. Venezuela has been better at finding the net, scoring six goals as opposed to Canada’s one.
This game is shaping up to be a physical affair in which both teams' mental toughness and ability to grind a result will be tested. If Canada’s goal-scoring struggles continue, then it will see its tournament end. I do not think the Canadians will find the back of the net easily.
Venezuela 1 - Canada 0

Colombia -370 vs. Panama +950 (Sat. July 6 – 6:00 p.m. ET)
Colombia finished top of their group and will face off against Panama in their first knockout game.
Panama is competing in its second Copa America and has qualified for the knockout round for the first time. Wins over the United States and Bolivia sealed the deal for the Central American side.
Colombia finished top of their group, getting past Costa Rica and Paraguay. They finished the group stage with a draw against Brazil in a very tense and, at times, sloppy game. Los Cafeteros, with James Rodriguez and Luis Diaz, are talented and deadly.
Panama will have nothing to lose and will have to make little to no mistakes to get past. On the other hand, Colombia is one of the tournament's favorites and will continue to look dominant against weaker opposition.
Panama will compete and do all it can to make its supporters and country proud. It just doesn’t seem like it will be enough. Colombia is too talented and has too many ways to carve Panama open. The match against Uruguay seems like the blueprint. Panama will be too respectful and won’t have enough to beat Colombia.
Colombia 4 - Panama 1
