CFB: 5 Best Non-New Year’s Six Bowl Games

5. Kansas State vs. N.C. State (Pop-Tarts Bowl 12/28)
There is an edible mascot; what else do you want in a bowl game? This matchup is also good despite KSU QB Will Howard heading to the portal. Both teams are in the top 25 but have had underwhelming seasons.
1. Kansas vs. UNLV (Guaranteed Rate Bowl 12/26)
The 9-4 Rebels and the 8-4 Jayhawks are two top-30 offenses squaring off in the desert. It should be an entertaining late-night bowl game.
2. Notre Dame vs. Oregon State (Sun Bowl 12/29)
It is a top-20 matchup in one of the oldest bowl games around. The Beavers and Irish could be a defensive clash with big plays and hard hits.
3. JMU vs. Air Force (12/23 Armed Forces Bowl)
The Dukes and Falcons represent two of the best G5 teams in the country. JMU is in transition but should be ready for the bowl game. The Falcons ended the season on a slide and will have a chance to win their 9th game.
4. Oklahoma vs. Arizona (Alamo Bowl 12/28)
The upstart Wildcats and the Sooners kick off in a top-15 matchup. Both offenses are in the top 25 for scoring, but both defenses are toward the top of the middle of the pack. This could turn into a shootout in San Antonio.
