#10 No-body, No, Not Notre Dame
The computers like SP+ and PFF have ND (coming off their third loss) No. 10, who is No. 22 in both polls. The Polls have Ole Miss 10th and Louisville 11th, the Rebels are 13/14, and the Cards are 19/20 on PFF & SP+. The gap looks big between No. 9 and No. 10.
#1 Michigan Wolverines (9-0)
The Wolverines beat Purdue 41-13 and have won every game by more than three touchdowns.
#2 Georgia Bulldogs (9-0)
On one hand, UGA hasn't been as dominant as last season. On the other hand, they've won 26 straight!
#3 Ohio State Buckeyes (9-0)
The defense continues to be elite, but by any measure (eye test or analytics), OSU survived Rutgers despite the 19-point margin.
#4 Florida State Seminoles (9-0)
It was thought the 'Noles had two great September wins, but Clemson has four losses, and LSU has three.
#5 Washington Huskies (9-0)
Since beating Oregon, Michael Penix Jr. hasn't been quite the same, and the defense is shaky.
#6 Oregon Ducks (8-1)
Our top one-loss team, Bo Nix, led the Ducks to 63 points against Cal. Many believe they are the best Pac-12 team despite the loss to Washington.
#7 Penn State Nittany Lions (8-1)
The defense is as good as any in the country, and the offense showed signs of life at Maryland.
#8 Texas Longhorns (8-1)
That was a big win for the 'Horns without their starting QB over a very tricky K-State team.
#9 Alabama Crimson Tide (8-1)
It was a legendary effort by Jalen Milroe. The Tide is in a position to make a CFP push.
