Introduction
Japanese pitching phenom Roki Sasaki, to no one’s surprise, announced last week that he will join the reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers to begin his MLB career.
Over four seasons in Japan, Sasaki compiled a 30-15 record with a 2.02 ERA, 0.88 WHIP, and a 524:91 strikeout-to-walk ratio across 414.2 innings. The 23-year-old pitched a perfect game in 2022, during which he set the NPB record for strikeouts in a game with 19 and a world record by striking out 13 consecutive batters.
With Sasaki in the mix, here's a look at how the Dodgers' 2025 starting rotation might shape up. Spoiler: It's formidable.
