Celtics vs Knicks Prediction, Props, and Best Bets NBA Game 6

The Boston Celtics are set for a pivotal matchup against the New York Knicks on Friday night after forcing a Game 6 with a gutsy win on Wednesday. Boston heads into this matchup hoping to do the unthinkable without Jayson Tatum. However, they’ll have a tall task ahead of them in a Knicks team desperately looking to end this series and get some rest before the Eastern Conference Finals. Nonetheless, with the Celtics playing with a new sense of desperation, expect this to be a dogfight between two teams willing to leave it all on the court.

Celtics vs. Knicks Best Bet: Knicks -2.5

The Knicks enter this matchup as favorites to close out the series, but by a slim margin. Boston is playing with a sense of urgency that could spell trouble for New York as they continue their postseason journey with little to no rest. However, assuming the Knicks understand that the worst-case scenario is heading back to Boston for a Game 7, I expect the Knicks to come out aggressively looking to close this series out, which leads me to think they’ll win comfortably.

Celtics vs. Knicks Best Total Bet: Over 211

Both the Celtics and the Knicks have the firepower to turn this game into an offensive shootout, and they’ve proven that throughout this series, even after adjustments have been made in the defensive battles they’ve had along the way. New York will be riding the momentum their home fans give them, and the C’s will be trying to combat every run with one of their own to keep this matchup close. That said, a final score of 11 is a realistic outcome in this matchup.

Celtics Best Player Bet: Derrick White OVER 21.5 Points +102

Derrick White was proving to be the X-Factor for the Celtics before the season-ending injury to Jayson Tatum. White put together his best game of the series in the first game without the Celtics star, finishing with 34 points, while shooting 56.3% from the field and 53.8% from beyond the arc. If White continues to stay aggressively confident in his increased role, he should be able to exceed the 21.5-point mark. Not to mention, he’s finished with 22+ points in each of the last two games.

Knicks Best Player Bet: OG Anunoby OVER 16.5 Points +134

OG Anunoby has put together a very inconsistent series for the Knicks in this Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup. The Indiana product averaged 17.3 points in Round 1, but so far through five games against the Celtics, Anunoby is averaging 12.4 points per game. However, in the last matchup at home, the versatile forward finished with 20 points, with efficient shooting splits from the field. With the Knicks needing someone to step up with Karl Anthony-Towns’ struggles, who seems to be nursing a hand injury, Anunoby could be the guy to do it.
