Timberwolves vs Lakers Game 1 Same Game Parlay | NBA Best Bets Today

The Minnesota Timberwolves hit the road on Saturday night for a first-round matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers. Minnesota ended the season on a high note, winning four of their last five games, while the Lakers finished with a 3-2 record in their final five. Heading into this game, only one game separated the two teams in a tight Western Conference playoff race. This matchup could go either way.

Nonetheless, as we head into playoff basketball, here’s a look at a same-game parlay that could help you capitalize on Saturday’s marquee matchup.

LeBron James OVER 25.5 Points +116

  • LeBron James continues to defy his age, remaining one of the most dominant players in the league at 40.
  • The future Hall of Famer is averaging 24.4 points, 8.2 assists, and 7.8 rebounds, while posting shooting splits of 51.3% from the floor and 37.6% from three.
  • There’s no doubt that the Lakers’ star can take over a game at any given time, and he’s proven in the past that he tends to wait for playoff time to flip the switch to elevate his game.
  • In his last matchup against the Timberwolves, James finished with 33 points, 17 rebounds, and six assists. Expect him to remain aggressive in this matchup as well.

Luka Doncic to Score 30+ Points +104

  • Since entering the league, Luka Doncic has proven to be one of the best players in the NBA and one of the top scorers. However, the guard has been playing with a chip on his shoulder since the Lakers landed the Slovenian star in a blockbuster trade ahead of the deadline.
  • Through six games in April, Doncic is averaging 31.8 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 6.2 assists, while shooting 52.5% from the field and 45.3% from three.
  • Head coach JJ Redick has gone on record saying that he wants Doncic to be aggressive on offense, regardless of whether his shots are falling, which is undoubtedly music to the star’s ears. Expect the 26-year-old to put on a show in the first playoff game for him in a Lakers jersey.

Anthony Edwards to Record 2+ Steals +154

  • Anthony Edwards has always shown flashes of his ability to be a two-way star, but he tends to bring out his best defensive play in the postseason.
  • Edwards will likely take on the top defensive assignments to slow down the opposing team’s best players. With his quickness on defense, he can intercept a passing lane or get his hands on the ball in an instant.
  • Expect Chris Finch’s squad to pressure the defense, led by Edwards’s grittiness.

Julius Randle to Score 20+ Points +114

  • Julius Randle enters this matchup averaging only 18.7 points per game. However, with shooting splits of 48.5% from the field and 34.4% from three, the Kentucky product can explode for 20+ points any night.
  • Considering his step back this season in his first year with the Timberwolves, the Lakers may be encouraged to do everything they can to limit Edwards on offense and force Randle to beat them. In turn, that means more offensive opportunities for the big man.
  • Los Angeles’ biggest weakness is their glaring hole in the frontcourt; an area that Randle’s versatility could help him exploit in mismatches.
