5. 2024 NBA Draft
Arthur Kaluma is still in the 2024 NBA Draft and has expressed no desire to pull his name from that process. As has been widely written and reported, the 2024 draft class is weak, and Kaluma has a chance to be selected. Kaluma has improved his three-point shooting and has shown enough growth on that front for NBA teams to project him as a potential asset. It would not be surprising to see him remain in the draft and try to begin his professional career.
1. Kansas State Wildcats
Arthur Kaluma has entered the 2024 NBA Draft and kept his options open by entering the transfer portal. Kaluma spent his first two seasons at Creighton before transferring to Kansas State before the 2023 season. The 6’8” forward averaged 14.4 points per game and seven rebounds while shooting 34.5% from three. He has the size that NBA teams value, but there is a real chance he will return for another season of college basketball, and one of his options is to go back to Kansas State. Kaluma succeeded in Jerome Tang’s system, and the Wildcats added point guard Dug McDaniel, who provided an opportunity to play with a talented lead creator. Returning to Manhattan for one more season would make sense if Kaluma was interested in remaining in college.

2. Texas Tech Red Raiders
Arthur Kaluma is a native of Irving, and the Red Raiders intensely pursued him when he was a four-star high school recruit and when he entered the portal when leaving Creighton. Grant McCasland is entering his second season in charge in Lubbock. He has already added a strong portal class led by guard Elijah Hawkins and big man Federiko Federiko from Pitt. Kaluma would give Texas Tech a pair of good forwards and would pair well next to the rim protection Federiko provides. If Kaluma wanted to end his collegiate career back in Texas, a move to Texas Tech would be a good story.

3. Kentucky Wildcats
The Kentucky Wildcats have added eleven new players under head coach Mark Pope as the roster has nearly completely reset ahead of the 2024 season. The UK is strong in the backcourt and has a few big bodies, but adding a proven wing like Arthur Kaluma would be terrific for them. They were considered favorites to land BYU Jaxson Robinson, but he is looking at other options. Pope is still hunting for another impact player to bolster his roster. Kentucky has a strong NIL program that could go toe-to-toe with nearly any other option Kaluma would have.

4. Arkansas Razorbacks
Arkansas and Kentucky will be connected and compared to each other for years after John Calipari fled for Fayetteville. Like Kentucky, the Razorbacks have flipped their roster and are still looking for one or two final pieces. Arkansas added Jonas Aidoo from Tennessee and he will man the middle in conjunction with Zvonimir Ivisic. That pairing would allow Arthur Kaluma to play exclusively on the wing and prepare for a role he would have in the NBA as a 6’7” “three and D” type of player.
