You know, Miami's getting screwed, uh, in the rankings. They've got Notre Dame. I ranked 2 spots ahead of them. But even though, uh, a month and a half ago, they beat Notre Dame, like they played straight up and Miami took care of business against Notre Dame. Uh, and yet somehow, uh, Miami is gonna be on the outside looking in. By all accounts, I guess there could be some last second maneuvering with these championship games coming up, but the ACC networks doing. I think is awesome. 24/7, all they are playing on the ACC network right now is the Notre Dame Miami game from a couple of months ago. Just to remind everybody that these two teams that are vying for what might be the final at-large bid to get into the tournament played each other this year, not that long ago, and Miami beat them. Miami's getting screwed and it was a close game. This is not a disrespect to Notre Dame, who's a very good football team. Notre Dame, and I like Marcus Free. I know you do, but they play the game. What they have the same record and they play the game. What's the point of playing the game if it doesn't mean anything, doesn't mean anything right now you, if you told me Notre Dame's got a better record, OK, fine. I, I get it. Or you told me, you know, Miami, I don't know, whatever the case may be, where there'd be some type of cause or reason. But Miami's got 2 losses. Notre Dame's got 2 losses. All right. So what's the best way for you to judge these two programs against each other? Gosh, let me think. If only there were a way to see what would happen if they played against each other and the winner gets in. Oh, wait a minute, they did that. It's ridiculous. And, and, and they'll say, the committee will say, well, if they play the game. You can't do that. You can't do that because they did play and it shouldn't matter that, oh, Notre Dame, they, they, they just blew Syracuse out. What was the score 70 to 7, and Miami beat them by not by as much, so they won by 30 instead of 70, right? Like it's, it's just, I know that Notre Dame is more popular for viewers than Miami. That is just a tangible fact. You can't argue against it. But if the idea here is that we're trying to. Acknowledge the winner of some lesser conferences so other teams have a chance, which I think is smart to do and I like that the winner of last year, uh, the winner of Tulane, Texas, uh, uh, North Texas will be in the winner of that game. That's, that's just one. I think it's just good. Like those kids deserve a chance to be a Cinderella and make a little run like we see in March Madness, right? Like, why the heck not? But if the idea is outside of that, you know. of the 12 best teams are, are playing here with an 02, a smaller conference team getting in because we want the Cinderella story. There's no argument to be made for Notre Dame over Miami. And I'll play this out for you. You know, Duke is barely 500 and Duke is playing in the ACC championship game. They're not a good football program. They're gonna lose by 40 to Virginia, but play out the possibility for a second that Duke beats Virginia 500. I think your game over 500, right? Duke would go to the tournament. They would most likely. They, they could make a way for them not to, but then you're putting in a team. Like James Madison instead. Yeah, and by the way, it'd be great if the Dukies from James Madison could get into the tournament. Those are the stories we love. But if it comes down to the final spot, is Notre Dame or Miami. They played head to head. Miami's got to get in.
