Marvin Harrison Jr. - WR
One thing is sure: Marvin Harrison Jr. has the talent to be the first non-quarterback off the board. Although it's improbable with the signs we've seen leading up to the draft, the talent is there for him to be a franchise-changing talent. With a very deep wideout class, Harrison Jr. has all the tools to land in the top five of this draft class, but it's hard to see one of these teams in dire need of a franchise quarterback selecting him.

Jayden Daniels - QB
The excitement and buzz surrounding Jayden Daniels is real, not just because he's the reigning Heisman Trophy recipient. Daniels is a dual-threat signal-caller, which has become seemingly more attractive in the modern-day NFL. After throwing for nearly 4,000 yards and rushing for over 1,000, the talent is undeniable from the former LSU Tiger. Over the last month and change, Daniel's odds have shifted, and he's now the odds-on favorite to be selected second overall by the Washington Commanders. With his unique skillset, you can understand why multiple teams are intrigued by him near the top of this draft class. From what information is out there now, Daniels has a slight edge over the competition to be the next franchise quarterback for Washington.

Drake Maye - QB
Drake Maye's pro-style tendencies make him an appealing option in the draft. There was a time when Maye seemed to be slotted as the second name off the board at the 2024 NFL Draft. Now, that's no longer the case, and Maye has gone from being drafted by the Commanders at No. 2 to no longer being the favorite there. There's still a real chance he's selected second, but it's no longer as clear-cut as it once appeared.
2024 NFL Draft - Number 2 Overall Pick Odds: +145
J.J. McCarthy - QB
Even with the recent steam surrounding J.J. McCarthy leading up to the 2024 NFL Draft, the odds remain distant for the Commanders to select him as their new franchise quarterback. McCarthy brings a pro skillset to the table, and teams have reportedly been highly impressed with him leading up to the draft. Although it's still unlikely the Commanders will use the second overall pick on McCarthy, his odds suggest it's still in the realm of possibility.

Caleb Williams - QB
It's extremely unlikely the Chicago Bears will pass on Caleb Williams with the first overall pick, but never say never. If Williams somehow falls into the Commanders' lap with the second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, you can bank on him being selected. Still, the odds suggest that's extremely unlikely, and we do too.
