New England Patriots Without Bill Belichick
After coaching the New England Patriots for 24 years, Bill Belichick and the club parted ways this offseason. Enter Jerod Mayo. Expectations are low for the Patriots entering 2024, where they boast the second-longest Super Bowl odds in the league at +25000. In addition, the Pats hold a win total of just 4.5 on the FanDuel Sportsbook. Even after drafting a potential franchise quarterback in Drake Maye, it's unknown whether he'll open the year as QB1. In this transition phase, it will be interesting to see how patient fans are with their new head coach in charge.

Rookie Quarterbacks
It's much easier to win in the NFL when you have a quarterback on a rookie contract. The Chicago Bears hope that sentiment remains true after selecting Caleb Williams with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Williams signed his rookie contract heading into training camp with the Bears and will resume starter duties after the club dealt Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers this offseason. In addition to Williams, you have Jaylen Daniels in Washington, Drake Maye in New England, and Bo Nix in Denver. NFL rookie quarterbacks will undoubtedly be under the spotlight in 2024 training camp.
Barkley Joins Rival
It's going to feel weird seeing running back Saquon Barkley suit up for the Philadelphia Eagles. After spending the start of his NFL career with the New York Giants, Barkley joined a division rival in Philadelphia. The Eagles are built to run the football, and Barkley gives them a premiere weapon if he can stay healthy. With the Eagles having a plethora of weapons on offense, Barkley is no longer forced to be the guy like he was in New York. That should be beneficial to both parties, and it won't be a surprise to see him explode again behind a strong offensive front.
Wide Receiver Holdouts
Star Wide receivers continue to create big headlines entering 2024 training camps. We've seen the offseason saga surrounding Tee Higgins play out, with the former Clemson Tiger set to play out the final year of his deal before hitting free agency. All eyes now shift toward CeeDee Lamb and the Dallas Cowboys, and Brandon Aiyuk with the San Francisco 49ers. Both Lamb and Aiyuk are looking to cash in on big pay days after monster seasons for their respective clubs. Lamb is by all accounts looking to becoming one of, if not the highest paid wideouts in the NFL. Although Aiyuk is in a tier below Lamb, he's still requesting the big bucks and is leveraging that by requesting a trade out of San Francisco. By all accounts, it looks as though the 49ers remain unwilling to move Aiyuk. If this continues into camp, they made not have a choice. On the Lamb front, the last thing the Cowboys need are more distractions. Lamb has earned the money, and it feels like it's only a matter of time before he gets it in Dallas.

Aaron Rodgers is Back
It's no secret that Aaron Rodgers has provided plenty of controversial headlines over the last year despite only taking four snaps before suffering a season-ending injury for the New York Jets. Will Rodgers return with a vengeance for the Jets, or will the undefeated Father Time strike and catch up with the future Hall of Fame signal-caller? The Jets have the type of roster that can contend for a division crown and potentially win multiple playoff games. All eyes will be on their star quarterback as camp opens.
