They picked up a key victory over the Cowboys last Thursday Night and now face arguably their most crucial game of the season against the Lions. Once sitting at a 97% chance to reach the playoffs, Detroit finds itself in third place in the NFC North at just under 50%.

#1 Indianapolis Colts (99% Playoffs to 17%)
The Indianapolis Colts could not have started the season any better over the first ten weeks. They sat at 8-2 and tied with the best record in the NFL. Unfortunately, Daniel Jones suffered a partial tear of the fibula that he had initially been willing to play through. This past Sunday, the worst-case scenario happened as he suffered a non-contact Achilles injury that officially ended his season, and effectively the Colts' season as well.

#2 Kansas City Chiefs (95% Playoffs to 16%)
For the first time in the Patrick Mahomes/Andy Reid era, there is serious doubt surrounding their playoff hopes. Kansas City has been to at least the AFC Title game in every season since Mahomes became the starter. They now sit at 6-7 with four games to play. Even running the table might not be enough. Now sitting at a 16% chance, Kansas City is facing foreign territory.
#3 Washington Commanders (75% Playoffs to <1%)
It almost seemed inevitable that the Commanders would take a step back after being the surprise team in the entire league last season, reaching the NFC Title game in Jayden Daniels's rookie season. Several injuries to Daniels's elbow have stalled the Commanders' efforts at getting back to the postseason. Once sitting at a 75% chance to return to the playoffs, Washington is now mathematically eliminated and must prioritize Daniels's health for next season.
#4 Baltimore Ravens (97% Playoffs to 36%)
This season for the Baltimore Ravens has been the definition of a rollercoaster. After Lamar Jackson suffered an injury earlier in the year, the Ravens fell to 1-5. Then Tyler Huntley picked up a victory to move them to 2-5 before Jackson made his return to the field. They would go on to rattle off four consecutive wins to move to 6-5 and take back control of the division. Now, after back-to-back division losses to the Bengals and Steelers, they sit at just a 36% chance to reach the postseason. Missing it entirely would mark the first time Jackson has been left out of the postseason.
#5 Minnesota Vikings (55% Playoffs to <1%)
Coming off 14 wins last year, the Minnesota Vikings had high hopes for their young QB, J.J. McCarthy, as he would now be getting the opportunity to be the starter under Kevin O'Connell's guidance. He also had the luxury of having a top WR in Justin Jefferson to throw to. Growing pains and injuries have basically derailed the Vikings' chances this season, and they now face questions surrounding McCarthy's future as the starter.
