The NFL Preseason is officially here and the Las Vegas Raiders and Seattle Seahawks are set to get their first taste of action on Thursday night. Las Vegas enters this matchup with a completely reshaped roster led by a new head coach, new quarterback (thanks to Seattle) and a stud rookie running back. Meanwhile, the Seahawks are in the midst of a roster shakeup themselves entering the season with a new QB and multiple additions around him. Nonetheless, with football back on our TVs, here’s a look at everything you need to know ahead of kickoff on Thursday.

Raiders vs. Seahawks Best Bet: Seattle Seahawks 2+ Rushing Touchdowns +300
The Seattle Seahawks have put together an underrated offense heading into the 2025 season. With what’s expected to be a heavy dosage of a rushing attack from Seattle could start in Thursday’s preseason matchup, especially when rookie quarterback Jalen Milroe touches the field. All things considered, I like the odds the Seahawks will finish with 2+ rushing touchdowns.
Raiders vs. Seahawks Best Total Bet: Over 36.5 -115
Both the Raiders and Seahawks have the firepower to run the score up in this matchup, especially with each side expected to try out offensive plays courtesy of new offensive coordinators for each side. Assuming this matchup is more of an offensive battle than a defensive chess match, a final score of 24-17 seems like a realistic outcome.
Raiders Offensive Player to Watch: RB Ashton Jeanty
Obviously, the most exciting player set to debut for the Raiders this season is running back Ashton Jeanty. Not only was he a walking highlight at Boise State last year, but he offers a dynamic skillset to Las Vegas’ backfield that the team desperately needs following their disappointing rushing attack last season. Jeanty will be the offensive player to keep your eyes on.

Raiders Defensive Player to Watch: CB Darien Porter
Not much has been made about the cornerback battle for the Raiders during training camp, but with a constantly changing position group, the team has plenty of need to find an answer for their secondary. Head coach Pete Carroll could get closer to electing a starter in Thursday’s preseason game, and one name to monitor is rookie Darien Porter. The talent is there, but he’ll have to show he can make an impact in a real game to earn the trust of the coaching staff.
Seahawks Offensive Player to Watch: QB Jalen Milroe
Sam Darnold is probably the name that most people expected to be the offensive player to watch for the Seahawks on Thursday, and while that’s a fair assessment, Milroe could be the guy that even the coaching staff is closely monitoring. The Alabama product’s dual-threat ability makes him an intriguing prospect, and with the team selecting him as a flier in the later rounds during the 2025 NFL Draft, it’s clear they at least have hope he could be the future of the position if Darnold doesn’t work out. That said, Milroe will be the player I’m watching on Thursday.
Seahawks Defensive Player to Watch: S Nick Emmanwori
Nick Emmanwori arguably may have been the best safety on the board in the NFL Draft, and it’s clear that the Seahawks felt that to be true. The South Carolina prospect’s mixture of speed and athleticism at his size makes him an intriguing defender in Seattle’s secondary. Not only could Emmanwori make an immediate impact as a rookie, but he could elevate the Seahawks’ defense to a whole new level.
