Daniel Jones is Still Bad
Most of us already believed that Daniel Jones wasn't a good starting quarterback in the NFL. After a Week 1 humiliating loss to the Minnesota Vikings, now the question we're asking ourselves is if Jones is even an NFL quarterback at all. Jones looked utterly lost in the pocket for the Giants, and although there are plenty of concerns with this football team, you want some quiet confidence in your quarterback, and Jones gave the Giants the opposite. Will Jones stick as the starter for the entire first half?

Early Concerns in Cincinnati
The Cincinnati Bengals have been a poor Week 1 team in the Zac Taylor era. To say there were distracting headlines entering this clash with the New England Patriots would be an understatement. Tee Higgins and Ja'Marr Chase were at the forefront, while some questioned how Joe Burrow would look in his first start back. Burrow and the Bengals offense struggled to find any rhythm against a New England squad that came into this game as sizable underdogs. If Burrow is going to turn in performances like this, we might have overhyped the Bengals and their Super Bowl odds to begin with.
The Cleveland Browns Have a QB Controversy
Many people already went into Week 1 believing Deshaun Watson isn't a good quarterback. If that was your viewpoint heading into Week 1, it wouldn't change after that dud of a performance. The Cleveland Browns' defense will keep this team out of trouble this season, but Watson's play at quarterback is highly concerning. Despite being paid like one, the Browns don't need Watson to be an elite quarterback to succeed. They can't have more performances like the one he put together in Week 1. That won't cut it, and it'll call for even more speculation that Jameis Winston should be lining up under center instead.
The Falcons Offense Might Not Be Great
The thesis behind the Atlanta Falcons being the frontrunners in the NFC South was that Kirk Cousins would give them competent quarterback play. That didn't happen in Week 1 at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This might be the definition of an overreaction because the Steelers' defense is for real, an elite bunch, and this was Cousins's first game back from a season-ending injury. The pieces are there for this offense to eventually click, but Week 1 didn't inspire any confidence.

Bryce Young and the Panthers Stunk the Joint Out
Hand up, I thought the Carolina Panthers had a solid shot to upset the New Orleans Saints in Week 1. Boy, was I wrong. Some thought processes behind that were an improved Bryce Young at quarterback and a potential offensive guru in new head coach Dave Canales. Neither impressed me with what they brought to the table in their Week 1 blowout loss. Getting comfortable with this new scheme will take time, but it might not be too early to suggest it will be another long year in Carolina.
