5. Kim Saarinen (HPK)
Kim Saarinen has a big frame, mixed with strong athleticism. Saarinen is a solid goalie prospect, covering plenty of the net and being a big competitor. There are times when he can halt momentum because of poor goals against, but he's put together a strong enough body of work we're willing to look past that.

1. Carter George (Owen Sound)
One thing that consistently pops on tape for Carter George is his calm demeanor. It's very Carey Price like, even if we're not comparing him to the legendary Habs goalie. George is slightly smaller than you'd like for a potential starting goalie in the NHL, but his confidence, and technical skills are right there at the top of this draft class.
2. Marcus Gidlof (Leksands)
It's not hard to find people in the scouting community that love Marcus Gidlof. Some believe he's even the top goaltender available in this class, and he's right there in that mix for us. Gidlof is a monster in net, paired with high-end athleticism, and good hockey IQ. He doesn't get frazzled easily in goal, which is a big selling point.
3. Ryerson Leenders (Mississauga Steelheads)
Ryerson Leenders is our top available goalie from the OHL this season. Leenders was at a time considered a top 35 prospect in this class, and even though he's dropped off on some boards, he's still considered one of the top goalies in this group. He played well in Mississauga this season, and even though he's a little undersized, his athleticism more than makes up for it.

4. Nicholas Kempf (USNTDP)
It's difficult to get a complete read on Nicholas Kempf, but he's still widely considered one of the top netminders in this draft class. It's almost rare that a prospect be this divisive in the scouting community, but it shouldn't come as a surprise when you factor in the volatility that goaltenders provide in general. We're higher than a lot of scouts on him.
