For the past 20 years, the Montreal Canadiens have focused on strengthening their center depth. Following their top-five pick of winger Ivan Demidov, they aim for additional potential by selecting Russian center Yegor Surin.
27. Igor Chernyshov (F) - Carolina Hurricanes
It's no secret that the Carolina Hurricanes are willing to take risks for high upside in the late first round. They see immense potential in the talented Russian forward Igor Chernyshov.
