Mark Vientos – 1B, 3B – New York Mets (34%)
Mark Vientos has long been a highly-touted prospect in the Mets’ organization, and it looks like he is finally ready to make a significant impact after a challenging rookie season in 2023. Last year, he hit nine home runs in 233 plate appearances but struggled overall, ending with a .211/.253/.367 slash line and a high 30.5% strikeout rate. However, in 2024, Vientos has drastically reduced his strikeouts to 18.6% and powered his way to an impressive .339/.400/.645 slash line over 70 plate appearances. He has already hit five home runs, with two coming in the first few days of June, along with four doubles and 11 RBIs in 19 games.
The power is real, as Vientos has hit 11 home runs in 50 games between Triple-A and the majors so far this year.
Masyn Winn – SS – St. Louis Cardinals (27%)
Masyn Winn is quietly putting together an impressive rookie season. While his stellar defense at shortstop was well-known before his debut for the Cardinals in 2023, his batting is now earning well-deserved recognition. Over the past 30 days, Winn's .357 average ranks fourth among qualifying hitters. During this period, he has recorded hits in 21 of 23 games, with three home runs, seven doubles, 14 RBIs, and three steals. Winn has been making consistent contact (87.8% Contact, 12.1% K rate) and spraying line drives (29.7%) all over the field.
Patrick Bailey – C – San Francisco Giants (23%)
Speaking of line drives, Patrick Bailey and Masyn Winn are among only four players in the league with at least 100 plate appearances and a line drive rate above 30%. Bailey missed a significant portion of games from early to mid-May due to concussion symptoms but has been a steady contributor for the Giants when available.
Since resuming his regular role a couple of weeks ago, Bailey has gone 12-for-39 (.308) with a home run, two doubles, and nine RBIs over 11 games. Given the shallow talent pool at the catcher position, Bailey is a valuable target, especially in deeper formats.

Hunter Brown – SP – Houston Astros (45%)
April was a disastrous month for Hunter Brown, who started the season 0-4 with an 11.84 ERA. He began by surrendering five runs over three innings against the Rangers. Things then took a nosedive when he allowed nine runs on 11 hits in just two-thirds of an inning in Kansas City.
Recovering from such a rough start was challenging, but Brown has shown remarkable perseverance. The young right-hander has secured a regular spot in the Astros’ rotation with solid performances over the past month, posting a 3.62 ERA (3.37 xFIP) and 1.11 WHIP across his last six starts. Enhancing his fantasy value further, Brown has recorded a 36-to-11 K/BB ratio in 32.1 innings while inducing groundballs at a 51.8% rate during this stretch.
Jake Irvin – SP – Washington Nationals (27%)
Jake Irvin might be on the verge of a breakout season that has flown under the radar thus far. The towering right-hander boasts a 3.39 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 12 starts. His 60-to-12 K/BB ratio over 69.0 innings is impressive, particularly in terms of command, and his strikeout rate has been climbing recently.
In his last three starts against winning teams (vs. MIN, at ATL, at CLE), Irvin has allowed only four runs on 12 hits, striking out 22 batters (32.4%) over 18.1 innings. During this stretch, he has held opponents to a 38.1% HardHit% and a 78.8% Contact rate.
Irvin’s rostered rate should be at least twice as high as it currently is.
