Walker Buehler UNDER 14.5 Outs Recorded (+100)
I have no faith in Walker Buehler tonight, and while the Dodgers have shown a willingness to keep him in games despite struggles, they can’t do so in tonight’s environment. He pitched a full five innings for 15 total outs in his lone postseason appearance against the San Diego Padres but allowed six earned runs. Given the ramifications of tonight’s game, if the Mets’ bats jump on him early, I’d be shocked if Dave Roberts keeps him in the game. Tied 1-1 and on the road, they can’t afford to give Buehler the benefit of the doubt. I expect Buehler to be hit around, so we’ll expect his outing to be brief.
First 5 Innings OVER 4.5 Total Runs (+105)
We made it clear that we have no trust in Buehler, and while he may allow five runs in the first five innings, I don’t have much confidence in Luis Severino against the Dodgers’ lineup. He pitched for seven innings in his two postseason starts thus far, allowing three runs in each game on an average of seven hits. Combining Severino and Buehler, getting the first five innings total to go over 4.5 at plus money is a bet I can’t resist.
Pete Alonso Home Run (+370)
Pete Alonso has gone 5-14 in his career against Buehler, and four of those hits happened to be home runs. He’s launched three home runs this postseason, so at +370, we like the odds of him doing it again against a pitcher he’s found success against.
Tommy Edman 1+ RBI (+230)
Tommy Edman will likely be sitting in the sixth spot in the lineup, giving him a prime opportunity to step into the batter’s box with the bases crowded. He’s combined for four RBIs across the past four games, and at +230, we don’t trust Severino to slow down the Dodgers’ bats enough to limit Edman’s opportunities.
Francisco Lindor 2+ Total Bases (+105)
Francisco Lindor owns a .235 batting average this postseason, but in the five games where he has a hit, he’s recorded at least two total bases in this game. He has only faced Buehler twice in his career and owns a home run against him, so at +105, we like the odds of him recording two total bases tonight against a pitcher we have no faith in.
