MLB Betting Guide for Sept. 18: O’s in Need of a Massive Spark

All 30 MLB teams are in action today, so let’s dive into everything you need to know to pump out some winners!

In the small three-game afternoon slate, in terms of playoff ramifications, there isn’t anything too noteworthy except for the Arizona Diamondbacks visit to Coors Field to take on the Colorado Rockies. The D-backs are looking to ensure their playoff seeding.

Moving on to the night slate, the Philadelphia Phillies remain on top of the league standings as their series with the Milwaukee Brewers continues tonight. The Los Angeles Dodgers will look to bounce back against the Miami Marlins after an unexpected loss to them last night. The wild card race remains tight, as the aforementioned D-backs are tied with the New York Mets while the Atlanta Braves sit two games back.

In the American League, we saw the league-leading New York Yankees flex their dominance against the Seattle Mariners. At the same time, the Baltimore Orioles looked horrific at home against the San Francisco Giants. The O’s haven’t been too dominant for the past several weeks if feels like, but for now, their hold on the top AL wild-card spot remains intact with a 2.5-game lead over the Kansas City Royals. Still, the O’s clubhouse can’t be anywhere close to pleased with how they look as October nears.
