MLB SGP: +1000 New York Yankees @ Texas Rangers

We have a fun AL matchup set for tonight in the Lone Star State: The Texas Rangers will host the New York Yankees, prompting us to work up an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.

Valued at +1000, let’s ride!

Leg 1: Yankees -1.5

The Yankees have lost two series in a row and are heading on the road to face a Rangers team that hasn’t had any consistency all year. They need this win tonight for morale as they’ll have their ace in Gerrit Cole on the mound, whereas the Rangers are throwing their biggest pitching liability on the mound in Jack Leiter. The Yankees have the better offense and the far better pitcher, so we’ll swing for the fences and tout them to win tonight’s game on the run line for some extra value.

Leg 2: Gerrit Cole 6+ Strikeouts

Gerrit Cole’s strikeout production has been relatively reliable, striking out at least six batters in seven of his last ten starts. During that stretch, he threw a season-high ten strikeouts against the Rangers in early August. We need a dominant outing to ensure our run-line cashes, so we expect Cole to be in the game long enough to rack up at least six Ks.

Leg 3: Aaron Judge 2+ Total Bases

All Jack Leiter does is serve up meatballs, so do you expect us not to expect an extra-base hit from Aaron Judge? He hasn’t recorded an extra-base hit in four games, so this guy is due heading into tonight. You’re one of two things in this world: hot or due!

Leg 4: Gleyber Torres 1+ Hit

Gleyber Torres has been swinging a nice bat out of the leadoff spot lately, as he’s recorded a hit in 22 of his last 26 games and, more recently, in ten of his previous 11. That’s good enough for us!

Leg 5: Jazz Chisholm Jr. 1+ Hit

Opposing left-handed batters sport a .412 batting average against Jack Leiter this season across 34 at-bats, and we’re getting a great price on Jazz Chisholm Jr. to record a hit at -185, who has a .367 batting average since joining the Yankees.

Leg 6: Corey Seager 1+ Hit

If there is anyone on the Rangers for us to have a ton of confidence in to record a hit, it has to be Corey Seager, one of the league’s most consistent hitters overall, who enters tonight having recorded a hit in five of his last six games. That’s good enough for us!
