MLB SGP: +1200 New York Yankees @ Boston Red Sox

Baseball’s oldest rivalry is back tonight for another rendition, and the stage is set for Fenway Park as the Boston Red Sox are set to welcome the New York Yankees to town. Both clubs are rather desperate to get some momentum going, given their post-All-Star break struggles, so we hope the desperation from both sides gives us a great battle tonight, prompting us to work up an ultimate same-game parlay.

Valued at +1200, let’s ride!

Leg 1: Yankees ML

Things can’t be going worse for the Yankees right now, especially after losing both games to the New York Mets in Yankee Stadium, so they better not lay an egg in Fenway Park this weekend. Simply put, they just can’t. The Red Sox have had their share of struggles lately, and they’ll be putting Brayan Bello on the mound, who doesn’t deserve to be trusted. Nestor Cortes is the better starter, and the Yankees could use this win way more than the Red Sox. Despite being on the road, Yankees ML it is.

Leg 2: Nestor Cortes 6+ Strikeouts

Early this month, Nestor Cortes pitched an impressive six-inning outing against Boston, allowing just one run off of three hits with eight strikeouts. The Red Sox have struck out collectively at the fifth-highest mark in all of baseball in July, so we’ll eye Nestor to give us some repeat performance.

Leg 3: Juan Soto 2+ Total Bases

Juan Soto sports a .342 batting average in July, and 15 of his 25 hits during the month have been for extra bases. Since returning from the All-Star break, Soto has recorded at least two total bases in five of six games, so we’ll confidently eye him up to get us two total bases tonight.

Leg 4: Anthony Volpe 1+ Hit

Anthony Volpe has recorded a hit in six of his last seven games, and he’s gone 3-8 in his career against Bello. That’s good enough for me!

Leg 5: Jarren Duran 1+ Hit

Jarren Duran has been an absolute machine atop the Red Sox lineup, and he’s currently on an eight-game hitting streak with a .313 batting average in July. He’s a better hitter at home in Fenway Park than on the road, so we expect him to get a hit tonight with his optimal matchup against the lefty in Cortes.

Leg 6: Rob Refsnyder 1+ Hit

To close out our parlay, we’ll ride with Rob Refsnyder despite his slumping July, as he’s gone 6-13 in his career against Cortes. Let’s ride!
