MLB SGP: +1300 Kansas City Royals @ Minnesota Twins

We have an awesome AL Central battle set for tonight as the Kansas City Royals will be on the road to face the Minnesota Twins. The two clubs are separated by just a half-game for the AL’s bottom two wild card spots, with the Twins holding the current advantage. This series will go a long way in determining the final playoff picture, so we created an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.

Valued at +1300, let’s ride!

Leg 1: Royals ML

The Royals enter tonight’s matchup as the underdog at around +125 on the money line as they are on the road with the perceived pitching disadvantage. We’re not buying it, as Brady Singer has been dominant on the mound for the Royals and has earned our trust. Pablo Lopez hasn’t had a great year on the mound. Despite the name appeal, Lopez sports a 4.74 ERA on the season, with worse numbers at home than on the road. The Royals have been underpriced all season, so we’ll take advantage of them here with the better pitcher on the bump.

Leg 2: Brady Singer 5+ Strikeouts

Given all the faith we’re placing in Brady Singer tonight, we’ll also look for him to get us at least five strikeouts. Singer is by no means a “K guy," but he has struck out at least five in three of his last four starts and tossed a season-high ten strikeouts against the Twins earlier this season.

Leg 3: Bobby Witt Jr. 2+ Total Bases

Bobby Witt Jr. is arguably baseball’s most dynamic hitter, with his .347 batting average fueled by extra-base hits, and he has recorded at least two total bases in 14 of his last 21 games. While he has been a better hitter at home than on the road, we’ll look for him to take advantage of Lopez’s home struggles this season. Witt Jr. is that good and deserves our backing in any setting.

Leg 4: Salvador Perez 1+ Hit

Salvador Perez has recorded a hit in eight of his past ten games, which is good enough for us. We’ll back his chances to get a hit in one of his four at-bats.

Leg 5: Byron Buxton 2+ Total Bases

On the Twins’ side, we’ll eye up Byron Buxton to get us at least two total bases in ideally a quiet fashion, but it’s hard for us not to back him here as he’s gone 7-15 in his career against Brady Singer with four extra-base hits. Buxton has recorded at least two total bases in five of his last seven starts leading into tonight, so we love his chance to continue swinging a hot bat.
