MLB SGP: +850 Atlanta Braves @ San Diego Padres

The San Diego Padres delivered a gut punch to the Atlanta Braves in Game 1 of the NL Wild Card, and the Padres will be looking to finish the job tonight. This will be a fun battle, so we created an ultimate same-game parlay for the action.
Valued at +850, let’s ride!
Leg 1: Padres ML
Do I have way too much trust in the Padres? Probably. Still, as someone who has followed the Padres’ surge for the past three months, I believe this team deserves your trust. They have everything from reliable starting pitching, an elite offense from one through nine, and likely the best bullpen in the National League. They’ll turn to Joe Musgrove on the mound tonight, who has a 2.15 ERA since returning from injury in early August. He’ll have the momentum behind him of a sold-out, rocking bullpen and an unbeatable offense. On the Braves side, they’ll send out Max Fried, who has been solid, with a 2.14 ERA in September. Still, I can’t trust what I saw from the Braves’ offense last night, as they continually left runners on base. That’s the type of loss that’s hard to bounce back from on the road, and with your season on the line, I expect the Padres to finish them off tonight.
Leg 2: Joe Musgrove 6+ Strikeouts
Last night, the Braves managed to rack up 15 strikeouts, with Michael King accounting for 12 across seven innings of work. We’ll look for Joe Musgrove to deliver us at least six strikeouts as he did in all five of his September starts, and we’ll need a dominant effort from him to cash our Padres ML leg of the parlay. If King can strike out 12, it’s fair to expect just six from Musgrove.
Leg 3: Luis Arraez 1+ Hit
Luis Arraez may be the best contact hitter in the sport, and we saw him knock in a hit last night that led to Fernando Tatis Jr.’s two-run first-inning home run. He posted a .340 batting average in September and has gone 4-8 in his career against Fried, so we’ll count on him to get a hit with confidence.
Leg 4: Fernando Tatis 1+ Hit
Once Fernando Tatis Jr. launched that first-inning two-run home run, you knew it was over if you watched the game. There was no way the Braves were coming back from that when they were already coming into the game down for the count. After that home run last night, I expect him to get us a hit and not think twice about it.

Leg 5: Jackson Merrill 1+ Hit
Jackson Merrill has contributed big time to the Padres’ success as a 21-year-old rookie, posting a .306 batting average since the start of August. He had a hit last night, and as we’re looking for an all-around Padres domination, we’ll expect Merrill to contribute in some way. Plus, he’s gone 2-2 against Fried in limited exposure. Beat that!
Leg 6: Michael Harris II 1+ Hit
On the Braves side, Michael Harris II has been on fire atop the Braves lineup as he posted a .316 batting average in September and had a two-hit performance last night. To keep this simple, that’s good enough for me to expect him to get us a hit tonight.
