Leg 1: Padres ML
Michael King has been phenomenal for the Padres of late. He’s sporting a 2.31 ERA across his last ten starts, and the Padres’ offense is simultaneously humming. San Diego has gone 12-2 over their last 14 games, so we’re confident backing them despite being on the road, as they’ll have the better starting pitcher and offense.
Leg 2: Michael King 6+ Strikeouts
Michael King has struck out at least six batters in seven of his last eight starts, and the Pirates have collectively struck out at the fourth-highest clip in baseball over the past two weeks. We’ll expect another strong effort from him tonight against an inconsistent Pirates offense.
Leg 3: Manny Machado 2+ Total Bases
Manny Machado has recorded at least two total bases in five of his last six games, and we like his matchup tonight against the lefty Marco Gonzales, who has had his fair share of struggles on the mound. Machado has gone 4-8 in his career against Gonzales with two doubles, so we’re confidently counting on him to get at least two total bases tonight.
Leg 4: Jurickson Profar 1+ Hit
Jurickson Profar is hitting .342 on the season against left-handed pitching, so to keep this simple, we’ll expect him to get a hit against a bad left-handed pitcher. It’s as easy as that!
Leg 5: Donovan Solano 1+ Hit
Donovan Solano has been a quiet producer for this Padres’ offense. He’s hit .314 on the season and recorded a hit in nine of his last ten games. He hasn’t been an everyday player, but we expect him to be in the lineup tonight against the lefty.
Leg 6: Bryan Reynolds 1+ Hit
To close out our parlay, we’ll go with Bryan Reynolds, who has unequivocally been the Pirates’ best hitter, and he’s more recently sported a .327 batting average since the start of June.
