Kings vs Warriors Thursday Prediction | NBA Picks Today, Best Bets

John Canady

Host · Writer

The Sacramento Kings are set for an in-state showdown against the Golden State Warriors on Thursday night. Sacramento heads into this matchup, riding a two-game losing streak as their inconsistencies continue. On the flip side, the Warriors have turned things around with a 9-1 record in their last ten games. As the postseason looms, each game counts. Golden State is looking to move up in the standings, and the Kings are barely holding on to a play-in spot.

Kings vs Warriors Best Bet: Warriors -7

The Warriors have looked like a true contender over their recent stretch. Acquiring Jimmy Butler III ahead of the trade deadline seemingly gave the Dubs new life. With Stephen Curry able to play more freely with defenses having to account for Butler III, Golden State has been a nightmare to defend. If their 9-1 record in the last ten games doesn’t prove it, their five-game win streak heading into this matchup should. And considering how poorly the Kings looked in their most recent loss to the shorthanded Knicks, it’s hard to put any faith in Sacramento getting the job done. Give me the Warriors by double digits.

Kings vs Warriors Best Total Bet: Over 230

Golden State’s offense has been on a tear lately, and they’ve shown no signs of slowing down. If the Kings hope to keep this matchup close, they’ll have to keep pace with Steve Kerr’s squad, which should bode well for this game hitting the over. A final score of 126-112 seems like a realistic outcome.

Kings Best Player Bet: Malik Monk 3+ Threes Made +140

Malik Monk has finally earned himself the starting spot for the Kings this season, and he’s delivered in his new role. The Kentucky product is averaging 17.7 points per game on the season, and his ability to score anywhere on the court forced opposing defenses to account for him and open up the offense for Sacramento. Even then, Monk manages to get his own on a nightly basis. With 3+ threes in each of his last two games, I’ll take the odds that the guard can get the job down from beyond the arc again in this matchup.

Warriors Best Player Bet: Jimmy Butler 20+ Points Scored +100

Jimmy Butler III has always been a selective scorer during his career. The versatile forward can explode for 30+ whenever he chooses, but he also takes pride in doing the dirty work for his team. However, in his last three matchups, Butler has finished with 25+ points twice, which gives me faith he can elevate his play against the Warriors’ division rivals, especially with the Kings likely looking to limit Curry on offense.
