Knicks vs 76ers Best Bet: 76ers +198
The Knicks enter this matchup as the betting favorites on the road, and understandably so. New York has seemingly gotten things figured out with their new-look roster, at least more so than Philadelphia has. However, as both teams continue to deal with injuries on the roster, this game could determine which team’s reserves show up to fill key players’ roles. Nonetheless, with Philly 6-12 at home, they must be due for a home win. They should win against a Knicks team that has struggled in games. Give me the 76ers to protect their home court.
Knicks vs 76ers Best Total Bet: Over 220
As mentioned above, each squad has dealt with inconsistencies of their own up to this point in the season. Despite that, New York and Philly have the firepower to score points at a high clip. Assuming this game has the playoff atmosphere as expected, this could turn into a chippy shootout. All things considered, a final score of 114-109 seems like a realistic outcome.
Knicks Best Player Bet: Mikal Bridges 20+ Points +175
Mikal Bridges was one of the most significant additions to the Knicks in the offseason. The Villanova product was dealt to New York as Tom Thibodeau and Co. made it a point to build a team that could compete against the top squads in the league. Bridges struggled to start his tenure in New York with an evident issue in his jump shot. However, the forward has kept his head down and continued working through the problems, and it finally seems like he’s on the other side of it. In an offense that is designed for the Knicks’ wings to get plenty of volume on offense, Bridges has plenty of opportunities to score. Returning to where he spent his college years with the Wildcats, it won’t be a surprise to see the 28-year-old finish with 20+ points.
76ers Best Player Bet: Paul George 6+ Assists +190
Like the Knicks, the 76ers went all out in the offseason to stack their roster for the same reason: to compete in a stacked Eastern Conference. For Philly, their first move was to bring in a big fish in free agency when they signed Paul George to a long-term deal. The forward started his time in Philadelphia with a knee injury that kept him from gelling with his new teammates. Despite that, George has slowly found his groove again, averaging 16.8 points, six rebounds, and 4.7 assists. With 6+ assists twice in the last four games, there’s a solid chance that the former lottery pick could end the night surpassing that mark again as New York’s wing defenders make it a point to get the ball out of the star’s hands.
