The Oklahoma City Thunder head to the Mile High City for a matchup with the Denver Nuggets for Game 3 in this Western Conference Semifinals series. Oklahoma City bounced back from its stunning Game 1 loss with a dominant 43-point win in Game 2. With the series knotted at 1-1, this series is now officially a best-of-five between two of the top contenders in the West. Following the Thunder’s dominance in Game 2, expect Denver to seek revenge to prove their first win wasn’t a fluke.

Thunder vs Nuggets Best Bet: Thunder -5.5
OKC has been dominant on the road all season long, holding a record of 32-8 across their away games in the regular season. Not to mention their 2-0 road record in the postseason heading into this matchup. The Thunder are undoubtedly the deeper team in this matchup, and they were moments away from being up 2-0 in this series before the Aaron Gordon go-ahead three in Game 1 stunned them. It’s hard to bet against a young team like the Thunder, which has been impressive this season. Considering that they have the youth and talent level on their side, I have Oklahoma City taking this game by 6+ points.
Thunder vs Nuggets Best Total Bet: Over 232.5
The Thunder enter this matchup averaging 120.5 points per game, slightly trailing the Nuggets, who average 120.8 points per game. With both games in this series exceeding the 232.5-point set total, it’s hard to go against the grain and expect two of the best offenses in the league to suddenly turn this game into a defensive matchup. A final score of 126-119 seems like a realistic outcome.

Thunder Best Player Bet: Alex Caruso 10+ Points +172
In Game 1, Alex Caruso finished with 20 points, knocking down five threes for the Thunder. In Game 2, the two-way guard only played in 10 minutes, mainly due to how badly OKC was steamrolling the Nuggets from tip-off. However, in Game 3, his defensive versatility will almost certainly get him back on the court for extended minutes. If he can put together a similar performance to Game 1, it won’t be a shock to see the Texas A&M product finish with 10+ points.
Nuggets Best Player Bet: Russell Westbrook 15+ Points +122
Russell Westbrook continues to give the Nuggets much-needed minutes off the bench through the first two rounds of the playoffs. The veteran guard is proving just how impactful he can be, scoring 15+ points in each of his last three games and four of his previous five. Assuming Westbrook stays aggressive tonight, he’ll have a solid shot to keep his streak alive and end the night with another 15+ points.
