On Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors are set for a showdown against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Golden State enters this matchup looking to turn their luck around after losing four of their last five games. Meanwhile, Minnesota heads into this battle winners of four of its previous five games after finding a winning recipe over the last week. Despite the struggles of the Warriors, you can never truly count out a team led by Stephen Curry. Expect a dogfight between the two Western Conference squads.

Warriors vs Timberwolves
- Location: Target Center (Minneapolis, Minnesota) | Date: Wednesday, Jan 15.
- Where to Watch: ESPN | Time: 9:30 PM ET
- Spread: Timberwolves -6, Moneyline: Timberwolves -235, Total: 215
Warriors vs Timberwolves Best Bet: Timberwolves -6
The Timberwolves have figured out their issues over their recent stretch of games ahead of this matchup. On the flip side, the Warriors, who started their season off 12-4, have since gone 7-16 over the last couple of months. Between lackluster performances, poor chemistry, and a questionable coaching decision from Steve Kerr, Golden State’s empire seems to be slowly crumbling. Considering Minnesota’s growing confidence and the Warriors’ concerning play, I’ll take the Timberwolves in this one.
Warriors vs Timberwolves Best Total Bet: Under 215
Throughout the start of the season, the Warriors and Timberwolves rank toward the bottom half of the league in offensive rating. Golden State currently sits 21st with an offensive rating of 110.9, trailing just behind Minnesota, which sits 19th with an offensive rating of 111.5. Assuming this matchup follows the trend for each side, do not expect it to surpass the set total of 215.
Warriors Best Player Bet: Stephen Curry 6+ Assists +120
Stephen Curry has been one of the lone bright spots for the Warriors this season. Although the 36-year-old has seemingly taken a step back this season, down 3.7 points per game from last year, he still leads Golden State in scoring with 22.7 points per game. As a result of his decline in scoring, the two-time MVP has increased his assists per game from a year ago, averaging 6.1 assists per contest so far this season. With the Timberwolves defenders likely making it a point of emphasis to get the ball out of Curry’s hands, it won’t be surprising to see the guard finish with six assists in this matchup.
Timberwolves Best Player Bet: Anthony Edwards 30+ Points +230
Anthony Edwards’s offensive explosion since 2025 began has been arguably the biggest key to Minnesota’s recent success. Entering this matchup, the Georgia product is averaging 30.6 points per game in January. With games of 53, 37, 32, and 41 in four of the Timberwolves’ last six games, the young star could be in line for another monster night on Wednesday.
