March Madness 2025: Top Player Props for Sunday, March 23

It’s everyone’s favorite time of year — March Madness! The Round of 64 officially kicked off on Thursday morning, with a non-stop gluttony of action until Sunday night. There is no shortage of bets, so we’re highlighting our favorite player props for Sunday, March 22.

Note: All odds and lines are courtesy of bet365 and are subject to change after the publication of this article.

Tyrese Proctor Over 2.5 Assists +100

(9) Baylor Bears vs (1) Duke Blue Devils

The Duke Blue Devils showed why they are the top-ranked team in terms of both offensive and defensive efficiency in their first-round victory over Mount St. Mary’s. They’ll face a more sincere challenge from the Baylor Bears in Sunday’s Round of 32 matchup, but we still expect contributions from all their starters.

Cooper Flagg made his triumphant return on Friday, but it didn’t come at the expense of any of Duke’s other top contributors. Tyrese Proctor maintained his elite play, recording double-digit points for the third straight game and the fifth time in six outings. Moreover, he took a generous approach, dishing out the ball for five assists.

That giving mood has been more frequent in Proctor’s recent performances. The junior has multiple assists in seven of his past ten, averaging 2.5 assists. Increased usage validates increased productivity, both in terms of points and assists. Proctor averaged 29:24 on the court throughout the season, but he’s eclipsed 34 minutes in three of the previous four.

The Bears could challenge Duke, so Proctor won’t have the luxury of going to the bench early. As a result, we’re anticipating another above-average performance from the Blue Devils guard. Taking the over on his points or assists is a sharp play, but we can’t overlook the value on his assists prop.

Mark Sears to Record 20+ Points +155

(7) St. Mary’s Gaels vs (2) Alabama Crimson Tide

The Alabama Crimson Tide lived up to their reputation as one of the top offensive teams in the country in Round 1. The Crimson Tide dropped 90 on the Robert Morris Colonials, the fourth time in five games they’ve crossed that barrier. They’ll be looking to push the pace once more when they take on the St. Mary’s Gaels in Cleveland.

After a three-game down period, Mark Sears rounded into NCAA Tournament form. Alabama’s floor general put up 22 points, 10 rebounds, and five assists versus the Colonials. In the three contests before that, Sears was down to 10.3 points per game on just 30.6% shooting. Progression was inevitable, and that upward trajectory carries Sears into tonight’s East Region showdown.

Sears has put the Crimson Tide on his back in the latter stages of the campaign. The senior has gone north of 20 points in six of his last nine. Further, he’s eclipsed the 30-point threshold in three of those outings. While 30 may be a bridge too far, 20 points is well within reach for Sears versus the Gaels. At the current offerings, there’s tremendous value in backing him to reach 20 points. However, more ambitious bettors could be attracted to the +1300 price tag on Sears, which is reaching 30.

Nique Clifford Over 19.5 Points -110

(12) Colorado State Rams vs (4) Maryland Terrapins

The Colorado State Rams have long since forgotten a 5-5 start to the season. The Rams made short work of their Mountain West competition en route to a conference tournament title, following that up with a convincing win over the Memphis Tigers in the Round of 64. Nique Clifford has been the team’s guiding light throughout that stretch. We’re betting he has another masterful performance on tap versus the Maryland Terrapins

Clifford had difficulty finding the bucket in the opening round but made up for his dismal shooting performance with eight rebounds and six assists. However, we’re not anticipating another flat effort from the senior on Sunday.

The Rams guard has been one of the top players in the country this season. Clifford averaged 18.9 points per game this season, putting him among the top 42 scorers in the NCAA. But he’s set the bar higher with his more recent efforts. In his four prior games, Clifford averaged 27.8 points per game, recording at least 24 points in each of those contests. Moreover, he attempted no fewer than 13 shots and averaged 15.5 field goals per game.

Sunday’s second-round matchup sets up as an ideal bounce-back spot for Clifford. But this time, we expect him to make the most of his opportunities. He has a hefty 19.5-point total, but we expect Clifford to blow past it.
