That's exactly the type of profile the Houston Cougars need. Thankfully, the Cougars earned a commitment from Koziol for next season after he initially signed on with the Wisconsin Badgers.

Elo Modozie emerged as a disruptive pass-rusher in his sophomore campaign. The Georgia Bulldogs courted Modozie in the transfer portal and were able to sign the edge rusher for the 2025 season.

The Stanford Cardinal exodus continued with the departure of highly-touted cornerback Julian Neal. Neal initially committed to Stanford in December, but elected to re-enter the spring portal. In three seasons with the Bulldogs, Neal totaled 44 tackles, seven pass deflections, and two interceptions.

Emmanuel Karnley amplified his transfer appeal with a solid 2024 campaign. The former Arizona Wildcats cornerback appeared in 10 games and recorded 16 tackles and five pass deflections. Karnley initially committed to the Miami Hurricanes for the 2025 season but re-entered the transfer portal during the spring window. Staying in the ACC, Karnley has committed to UVA.

While they earned a bowl game, the California Golden Bears' foray into ACC play was relatively unspectacular. Cal ended the 2024 campaign with a 6-7 record, despite boasting some top-end offensive weapons. One such player was Jack Endries, who led the team in receptions and receiving yards. In doing so, the sophomore tight end caught the eye of the Texas Longhorns, committing to the SEC contenders for the 2025 season.
16. Amare Campbell, LB

Amare Campbell enters the transfer portal as one of the most coveted players available. Campbell is coming off a dominant sophomore campaign in which he totaled 72 tackles and 6.5 sacks. Not liking what Bill Belichick was bringing to the program, Campbell will spend his upperclassman years with a new team.

Elias Rudolph was heavily recruited out of high school. Garnering interest from the most prestigious schools in the country, the edge rusher landed on the Miami Hurricanes for his freshman campaign. But after seeing game action in only one contest, Rudolph decided a change of scenery was necessary. The former four-star recruit landed on the UNLV Rebels as his next destination.
18. Maraad Watson, IDL

Maraad Watson didn't need any time to acclimate to the college game. As a true freshman, the defensive lineman appeared in ten games for the Syracuse Orange, tallying 30 tackles, 1.0 sacks, and a pass deflection. As a result, Watson entered the spring transfer portal as a four-star prospect, committing to the Texas Longhorns for his sophomore campaign.
19. Trebor Pena, WR

The Penn State Nittany Lions have some holes to fill on offense. The Nittany Lions turned to the transfer portal to add to their receiving corps. Penn State earned a commitment from Trebor Pena, who emerged as a top-end receiver in his redshirt junior season. Pena registered 941 receiving yards on 84 receptions, integral to the Syracuse Orange's passing attack.
20. TJ Ferguson, OL
Previous Team: Florida State Seminoles
2025 Commitment: Syracuse Orange

As a high school prospect, TJ Ferguson was one of the premier offensive linemen in the country. Nationally, he was the fifth-ranked lineman, committing to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Ferguson failed to crack the starting lineup, transferring to the Florida State Seminoles for the 2024 season. After that disastrous campaign, he sought a more stable environment with the Syracuse Orange.
21. Akelo Stone, IDL

2025 Commitment: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets

Akelo Stone will spend the final season of his college eligibility with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The interior defensive lineman started his career with the Yellow Jackets before transferring to the Ole Miss Rebels for the 2023 and 2024 campaigns. While he made an impact in his first year, Stone was relegated to a secondary role last season. Surely, Stone will have an expanded role with Georgia Tech.
22. Smith Vilbert, EDGE

At the start of next season, Smith Vilbert will be one of the oldest players in college football, albeit still light on experience. Originally part of the 2019 recruiting class, Vilbert's career has been stalled by injuries. Across five seasons, he's played in just 35 games and was relegated to a secondary role behind Abdul Carter in 2024. With the North Carolina Tar Heels, Vilbert can blaze his trail and enhance his NFL Draft stock.
23. Mikai Gbayor, LB

Mikai Gbayor is another defensive stud who was poached in the transfer portal by Bill Belichick. Initially, the linebacker committed to the Missouri Tigers in the winter window, before re-entering the portal this spring. Subsequently, he signed on with the North Carolina Tar Heels for the 2025 season. Gbayor has seen a burgeoning role with the Nebraska Cornhuskers and will look to continue that trajectory as a senior.

Jaivian Thomas split time in the California Golden Bears' backfield last season, but was easily the more effective runner. The sophomore toted the ball 100 times, churning out 626 yards and seven touchdowns. Thomas will look for an expanded role with the UCLA Bruins next season, as he looks to prove himself in the Big Ten.
25. Emmett Mosley, WR

Emmett Mosley has some big shoes to fill with the Texas Longhorns. Texas lost its two top wide receivers to the NFL Draft, leaving a sizeable hole in its offensive production. Thankfully, they were able to replenish some of that loss via the transfer portal. The Longhorns earned a commitment from Emmet Mosley, following his standout freshman campaign with the Stanford Cardinal. Last season, Mosley hauled in 48 receptions for 525 yards and six touchdowns.
26. Andrew Simpson, LB

2025 Commitment: North Carolina Tar Heels

Another player who blossomed with his former program, Andrew Simpson, emerged as an elite outside linebacker with the Boise State Broncos. Simpson does it all, recording 45 tackles, 3.0 sacks, three forced fumbles, and an interception in his junior season. With one season of eligibility remaining, Simpson will be looking for another shot at a championship.
27. Mohamed Toure, LB

2025 Commitment: Miami Hurricanes

Another torn ACL cost Mohamed Toure his 2024 season, but the senior will be coming back with a vengeance in 2025. The former Rutgers Scarlet Knights linebacker entered the spring portal, looking to make the most of his senior season. His last time on the field. Toure totaled 92 tackles, 4.5 sacks, and an interception, highlighting his every-down ability. There is no shortage of suitors lining up to try and sign Toure ahead of next season.
28. Josh McCray, RB
Previous Team: Illinois Fighting Illini
2025 Commitment: Georgia Bulldogs

In 2021, Josh McCray burst onto the scene with the Illinois Fighting Illini. The running back churned out 549 yards as a freshman, failing to eclipse that total until his redshirt junior campaign in 2024. That convinced the Georgia Bulldogs to take a chance on him, luring him to Athens for the upcoming season.
29. Damien Taylor, RB

2025 Commitment: Ole Miss Rebels

The Troy Trojans have a gaping hole in their backfield to fill after the departure of Damien Taylor. The former three-star recruit handled the lion's share of the rushing duties last season, carrying the ball 173 times for 1,010 rushing yards. Taylor runs straight downhill and doesn't shy away from contact, characteristics that will serve him well with the Ole Miss Rebels.
30. Jamarrion Solomon, DL

Jamarrion Solomon has spent the past three seasons with the FIU Panthers, seeing limited game action over that stretch. The undersized defensive lineman enrolled back in 2022, burned a redshirt season, and then did not take to the field as a freshman. Still, as a sophomore, Solomon put together a solid campaign. He recorded 20 tackles across eight games, playing a more prominent role as the season progressed. Needing a change of scenery, Solomon signed on with the Charlotte 49ers.
31. Nadame Tucker, EDGE

2025 Commitment: Western Michigan Broncos

It has been a busy offseason for Nadame Tucker. The former Houston Cougar entered the transfer portal back in December. Tucker withdrew from the portal at the end of March without any new opportunities worth pursuing. Subsequently, the edge rusher re-entered the spring transfer portal, signing on to join the Western Michigan Broncos ahead of the 2025 campaign.
32. Qua Birdsong, CB

2025 Commitment: East Tennessee State Buccaneers

Qua Birdsong spent his first collegiate campaign with the UCF Knights. Not surprisingly, the linebacker-turned-cornerback was used sparingly as a freshman. Birdsong recorded two tackles while seeing action in just two games. With that, Birdsong decided to head into the transfer portal looking for a shot with another program. He found what he was looking for with the East Tennessee State Buccaneers.
33. D'Antre Robinson, IDL

2025 Commitment: North Carolina Tar Heels

At his best, D'Antre Robinson is one of the best defensive linemen in the country; however, consistency continues to limit his ceiling. The Orlando native spent his freshman campaign with his home state Florida Gators, but is seeking a change of scenery for the 2025 season. Robinson found that signing on with the North Carolina Tar Heels, where he can learn from the best.
34. Hykeem Williams, WR
Previous Team: Florida State Seminoles
2025 Commitment: Colorado Buffaloes

Winning makes all the difference. Just ask Hykeem Williams. The wide receiver was part of the 2023 Florida State Seminoles squad that was left out of the CFP despite going 13-0 in the regular season. After their disastrous 2024 campaign, Williams decided to leave the program. The next passes he catches will come with the Colorado Buffaloes.
35. Harrison Taggart, LB
Previous Team: BYU Cougars
2025 Commitment: California Golden Bears

Harrison Taggart is developing into a premier linebacker. The Utah native wrapped up his sophomore campaign with the BYU Cougars, tallying a nice 69 tackles, an interception, a forced fumble, and 1.0 sacks. Next up, Taggart is joining the Cal Golden Bears for the 2025 campaign.
36. Seth McGowan, RB
Previous Team: New Mexico State Aggies
2025 Commitment: California Golden Bears

Last season, we saw exactly what Seth McGowan is capable of. As a part of an underwhelming New Mexico State Aggies side, the junior running back totaled 823 yards on 152 carries. Those totals will continue to rise with the Kentucky Wildcats next season.
37. Brian Nelson II, CB
Previous Team: North Texas Mean Green
2025 Commitment: NC State Wolfpack

Cornerback Brian Nelson II emerged as a top defender in the North Texas Mean Green secondary last season. As a redshirt freshman, Nelson totaled 53 tackles, four interceptions, and a fumble recovery while appearing in all 12 games. Nelson will be patrolling the NC State Wolfpack secondary next season.
38. Caleb Wheatland, LB
Previous Team: Maryland Terrapins
2025 Commitment: Auburn Tigers

Over the past three seasons, Caleb Wheatland has been a disruptive presence for the Maryland Terrapins. As a junior, the linebacker totaled 42 tackles, 4.0 sacks, two passes defended, and a fumble recovery. Wheatland will test his skills against some of the best players in the country, transferring to the Auburn Tigers.
39. Noah King, S

Deion Sanders flexed his recruiting muscles to land one of the top secondary defenders in the transfer portal. Noah King enrolled at Kansas State in January, electing to enter the transfer portal before playing a down for the Wildcats. A highly touted prospect, King's development could take off under Sanders's tutelage.
40. Ty Williams, S

A two-way star back in high school, Ty Williams embraced his defensive responsibilities as a safety in college. But after failing to find his footing with the Oklahoma State Sooners, Williams entered the spring transfer portal. With one year of eligibility remaining, the soon-to-be senior is joining the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
41. Kam Pringle

A solid all-around athlete, who spent his high school years moonlighting as a dominant basketball player, Kam Pringle eventually settled on playing football in college. He spent his freshman campaign with the South Carolina Gamecocks, but only saw action in an early-season blow-out versus the Akron Zips. Pringle landed with the Syracuse Orange this offseason, where he will be expected to take on a more robust role in 2025.
42. Steve Angeli, QB
Previous Team: Notre Dame Fighting Irish
2025 Commitment: Syracuse Orange

While he has been used sparingly, Steve Angeli has proven worthy of a starting job in the FBS. With that, the junior quarterback will depart the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and join the Syracuse Orange for the upcoming campaign.
43. Trishstin Glass, WR
Previous Team: Wake Forest Demon Deacons
2025 Commitment: Coastal Carolina Chanticleers

A productive wide receiver out of Texas, Trishstin Glass revoked his commitment from the Wake Forest Demon Deacons without ever suiting up for the program. Glass signed on with the Demon Deacons over the winter, deciding to abandon Wake Forest after its coaching change in December. The three-star recruit isn't going far, committing to the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers.
44. Andre Roye Jr., OT
Previous Team: Maryland Terrapins
2025 Commitment: Colorado Buffaloes

Over the past few seasons, Andre Roye Jr. has seen an increasing role with the Maryland Terrapins. The offensive tackle appeared in three games as a true freshman in 2022, following that up with six and seven games in each of the proceeding seasons. Still with two years of eligibility remaining, Roye Jr. is heading to Sanders Academy and joining the Colorado Buffaloes.
45. Oryend Fisher, EDGE

2025 Commitment: UTEP Miners

After redshirting as a freshman, Oryend Fisher still saw more action in 2023 than in 2024. The edge rusher appeared during his redshirt campaign, recording one tackle in a blowout win versus Duquesne. Subsequently, he didn't make it onto the field last season. Fisher appears to have found the opportunity he was looking for with the UTEP Miners.

Another South Carolina freshman who was used sparingly last season, Wendell Gregory was searching for a new opportunity via the transfer portal. He found exactly that with the Oklahoma State Cowboys. OK State's defense is in a state of disrepair, but may have found the right linebacker to help to its fortunes. Gregory is tasked with turning the Cowboys' defense around.
47. Mark Hamper, WR

2025 Commitment: California Golden Bears

For the second time this offseason, Mark Hamper entered the transfer portal. Initially signing on with Wisconsin this winter, the former Idaho Vandals re-entered the portal this spring. This time committing to the California Golden Bears. Hamper put up 966 receiving yards on 48 receptions last season, a standard he is hoping to surpass as a redshirt sophomore.
48. Markell Samuel, OL
Previous Team: Appalachian State Mountaineers
2025 Commitment: Oklahoma State Cowboys

Markell Samuel joined the Appalachian State Mountaineers as a true freshman in 2020. That season, he appeared in just one game, preserving an extra year of eligibility for the COVID-impacted season, on top of his redshirt season. Samuel would go on to appear in 76 more games over the next four seasons, culminating in an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention in 2024. Next up, the offensive lineman is headed to Stillwater to exhaust his final season of eligibility with the Oklahoma State Sooners.

Gio Lopez had a standout redshirt freshman campaign as quarterback of the South Alabama Jaguars. Lopez started 11 games for the Jaguars, throwing for 2,559 yards and 18 touchdowns against just five interceptions. Moreover, he had above-average accuracy, completing 66.0% of his passes. Next season, Lopez will be slinging the ball for the North Carolina Tar Heels, as part of their burgeoning recruiting class.
