5) South Carolina Gamecocks
Dane Key nearly committed to South Carolina out of high school before ultimately landing at Kentucky. The wide receiver hasn't been reportedly linked to the Gamecocks. Still, with South Carolina looking for a big-time playmaker for LaNorris Sellers, this could be an underrated fit if Shane Beamer and company swooped in late. The Gamecocks would also allow Key to compete in the SEC with a program on the rise.

Top 5 Landing Spots for WR Dane Key in the CFB Transfer Portal
Dane Key has been one of the few bright spots on offense for Kentucky over the last few seasons. Coming off a career year where he racked up 47 receptions for 715 receiving yards and two touchdowns, the six-foot-three pass catcher opted to enter the portal where he hopes to find a more prominent role on a more competitive team. With plenty of interest in Key, here's a look at five teams that could make the most sense for the wide receiver.
1) Georgia Bulldogs
Early reports suggested that Georgia was one of the top teams heavily pursuing Dane Key, and the fit made sense for both sides. The Kentucky native could stay close to home while competing for a top program against SEC competition. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs would be able to grab a big playmaker for next season as they look to continue adding weapons to their high-powered offense.
2) Nebraska Cornhuskers
Matt Rhule and Nebraska have been reported as a team that entered the sweepstakes for Dane Key late, but they've turned the heat up in their pursuit of the wideout over recent days. Following his visit, the Cornhuskers seem to be in the running to add a big pass catcher for Dylan Raiola ahead of next season.
3) Ole Miss Rebels
Lane Kiffin and the Rebels always seem involved when a top player is in the transfer portal. Ole Miss was one of the first teams to host Dane Key after he entered the portal. Although recent reports seem to lean toward the Kentucky transfer landing elsewhere, things change quickly, and you can never count out Kiffin.
4) Oregon Ducks
The Oregon Ducks aren't a team that has reportedly shown interest, but the fit alone would be a no-brainer for both sides. Dan Lanning has proven to land top talent and put them in a position to succeed. The idea of Dane Key in the Ducks' high-powered offense could be lethal.
