10 BOLD Predictions for Super Bowl LIX

A Longshot Will Win the Super Bowl MVP
There's a massive discrepancy between the top four MVP candidates and the rest of the pack. Patrick Mahomes, Saquon Barkley, and Jalen Hurts are priced below +375. You can lump Travis Kelce in with the frontrunners, although he comes in at a slightly more appealing +1400 price. From there, the next closest player, Xavier Worthy, checks in at +3100.
This will be the year a true longshot emerges as the Super Bowl MVP. If the Eagles come out on top, their defense will likely have had a hand in de-railing the Chiefs. C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Josh Sweat have been invaluable contributors, priced at a distant +30000. Otherwise, guys like Jalen Carter (+10000), Zack Baun (+12000), and Quinyon Mitchell (+20000) all present value. Conversely, Chiefs' secondary contributors DeAndre Hopkins (+20000) and Isiah Pacheco (+23000) could also upset the MVP voting.
As implied by the betting, anything could happen in Super Bowl LIX. We're expecting the MVP winner to encapsulate the madness of what should become an instant classic.

Chiefs vs. Eagles Odds & Predictions, Free Picks, Prop Bets Today & Injury Updates
It's a sad state of affairs when a bold prediction includes the refs not being a factor. But that's the unfortunate reality that has plagued the NFL during the Kansas City Chiefs' reign.
We don't need to belabor the calls that helped the Chiefs make their third straight Super Bowl. Still, it's at least worth acknowledging that they wouldn't be here without assistance from the refs.
With everyone but Chiefs' fans crying foul after their controversial AFC Championship Game win, it's time for the NFL to let Kansas City try and win a game without extra help. Based on the NFL's press releases since, it sounds like the message was finally received.
Saquon Barkley Will Be Bottled Up
The Philadelphia Eagles will have to pen a thoughtful thank-you note to the New York Giants this offseason. Philly's success has been built on the back of Saquon Barkley. The All-Pro running back has flourished with the Eagles; however, his seemingly unstoppable run will be halted in Super Bowl LIX.
There's a convincing argument that Barkley is the MVP of the NFL. The Eagles running back has five straight 100-yard performances and has fallen below the century mark just twice since the middle of October. Still, his inflated boxscores have been a product of unsustainable big gains.
Kansas City is preparing to stop Barkley. The Eagles will likely have to turn to other playmakers if they hope to win.

Patrick Mahomes Ho-Hum Season Continues
The legend of Patrick Mahomes grows with each passing Super Bowl. Still, he's been less effective this season, and we're betting he's got another middling performance in store on Sunday.
In two playoff games this year, Mahomes has just 34 completions for 422 yards and two touchdowns. Those sub-optimal performances are an extension of an underwhelming regular season. The three-time Super Bowl MVP threw for the fewest yards of his career, precipitating a 67.7 QBR.
The Eagles pass defense is one of the best in the league. That should facilitate another ho-um effort from Mahomes.
We Will Get Another One-and-Done Performance
Every once in a while, we get a Super Bowl performance so outstanding that it changes a player's narrative heading into the offseason. But, by the time the next season starts, the player can never recapture the moment of the big game.
It's been a few years since we last saw it. Damien Williams, Chris Hogan, Corey Clement, and James White are a few of the names that come to mind more recently. But we're betting someone else will etch their name next to those one-and-done legends.
The Eagles and Chiefs both have deep benches, opening the door for any number of candidates to step up and become the X-factor. Just remember, ahead of next year's fantasy drafts, a season of data is much more valuable than a performance in a single game.

Defense Will Reign Supreme
As inferred from our two previous predictions, we expect both defenses to operate at peak efficiency in the Super Bowl.
Philadelphia ended the season with the top-ranked defense. While the Chiefs looked suspect at times this season, they've turned it on when it matters most. Not including their Week 18 free pass, they've held their last six opponents to an average of 323.2 yards per game.
Points will be at a premium in Super Bowl LIX. Nobody likes making these bets, but the under is worth a look.
Super Bowl LIX Will Be Tied at Halftime
This is another potentially profitable entry point for Super Bowl bettors. It's worth betting that the Eagles and Chiefs head into halftime in a tie game.
The betting line reflects the anticipated close nature of Super Bowl LIX. Kansas City opened as short -1.5 favorites, moving to -2 before coming back down to -1.5. Still, bettors are lining up to get a piece of the Eagles, with the price inflated to -115 as we head into the weekend.
In a defensive-first battle, neither team is expected to pull away. As a result, bettors should look toward one of the more exotic props and bet that this one is tied at the halfway point.
Kendrick Lamar's Halftime Show Will Be Mid
We're all looking forward to Kendrick Lamar's halftime show. But in today's ultra-governed world of the NFL and their political correctness, we're not expecting Kendrick to be at his best at Caesar's Superdome.
Kendrick's latest chart-toppers take aim at Drake. Color us shocked if the NFL green-lighted any of those singles to be included on his setlist. The Grammy winner still has a catalog of songs to choose from, but making the most without re-igniting any feuds could leave fans wanting more.
The worst thing Kendrick Lamar could do is lean into Bad Blood and drag Taylor Swift onto the stage.
Eagles End the Chiefs Reign
The Chiefs fatigue is real. NFL fans are thirsty for a different season-ending narrative. We're betting that the Eagles are more than just a mirage; they can be the oasis that football fans deserve.
Philadelphia possesses the playmakers on both sides of the football. We're all well aware of what the Eagles can do on offense, but their defense will finally get the recognition it deserves in Super Bowl LIX. Philadelphia has All-Pros in every layer of its defense and can wreak havoc on the Chiefs' offense. Moreover, we saw them hit their offensive stride in the NFC Championship Game, foreshadowing another strong performance on Sunday.
There's no storybook ending for the Chiefs in this one. Eagles fly past KC in New Orleans.

Travis Kelce Won't Propose to Taylor Swift
Nobody wants to hear anything else about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. So, in the best-case scenario, Kelce rides off into the sunset, and like the countless flags picked up against the Chiefs, any memory of their relationship can be erased from the annals of history.
If the Eagles pull off the upset, as expected, any chance of Kelce proposing goes out the window. For the sake of millions of football fans, here's hoping that Philadelphia prevails.
