Chiefs vs Cowboys: Top Five Thanksgiving Player Props

As is a yearly tradition on Thanksgiving, the Dallas Cowboys will host the second game of the day as they welcome the three-time defending AFC Champion Kansas City Chiefs, with both teams coming off perhaps their most significant victories of the season. These offenses have the potential to break out at any point, leaving plenty of opportunities to cash player props. Here are five to consider when handicapping this matchup.
Dak Prescott OVER 252.5 Passing Yards
When the Dallas Cowboys are at their most dangerous, they have a balanced attack with the running game and Dak Prescott. The ten-year veteran is having one of his best seasons as a pro. He is arguably the main reason this team is still in playoff contention up to this point. Averaging 267 yards per game through the air, I expect Dallas to lean on Prescott throughout tomorrow’s contest.
Patrick Mahomes OVER 21.5 Rushing Yards
Even as an all-time great, Patrick Mahomes is continuing to find ways to reinvent himself. He always has the athletic ability to use his legs when needed, but Mahomes is now using his scrambling strategically, making it even more difficult to contain him. Averaging just under 29 rushing yards per game, this number is very reasonable.
George Pickens OVER 73.5 Receiving Yards
Perhaps one of the more underrated moves this past offseason was the trade that sent George Pickens to the Cowboys. The former Pittsburgh Steeler has become almost a second No. 1 option. You want to double-team CeeDee Lamb? Pickens can easily take the reins as the number one receiver in any given game. The presence of CeeDee Lamb has left Pickens with plenty of one-on-one opportunities on the outside.
Xavier Worthy OVER 3.5 Receptions
Xavier Worthy has seen at least four targets his way in five straight games. Worthy’s side of the field has opened up plenty since Rashee Rice has returned to the lineup. The Cowboys have struggled in the secondary all season long, even when fully healthy. I expect Kansas City to use Worthy’s speed in the quick-passing game, getting the ball into space and making this reception number more than reachable.
Javonte Williams OVER 68.5 Rushing Yards
Along with George Pickens, Javonte Williams has been a welcome addition to the Cowboys’ offense. From the beginning of the season, Williams has firmly cemented himself as the No. 1 option in Dallas’ backfield. One area where the Chiefs have shown vulnerability is defending the run, and Williams has reached this number in eight out of 11 games this season.
