  • Location: Lincoln Financial Field (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

  • Spread: Eagles -5.5 | Moneyline: Eagles -245 | Total: 46.5

Falcons vs. Eagles Best Bet ATS: Falcons +5.5 (-110)

It was a strong showing for the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 on the road in Brazil against Green Bay, while the Falcons struggled to find their offensive footing under new quarterback Kirk Cousins. It’s safe to say that the markets have had a slight overreaction to both Week 1 results. The Eagles should be a 3-4 point favorite in this matchup from our vantage point. The fact the Falcons are getting 5.5 points on the road in what feels like a field-goal game is excellent for us. The Falcons aren’t nearly as poor offensively as we saw in Week 1 against a high-end defense in Pittsburgh. The Eagles have some weapons worth paying attention to on defense, but nothing comes close to what we saw with Pittsburgh one week ago. Cousins has taken some hits and should be more comfortable in the pocket. He didn’t forget how to play football overnight, and there are far too many weapons on this offense not to take the points and the road team on Monday Night Football. The Eagles should win, but we won’t be surprised if the Falcons play spoiler in this prominent spot.

Falcons vs. Eagles Best Bet Total: UNDER 46.5 (-110)

If the Falcons have hopes of staying in this football game, it will likely be on the backs of a strong game plan from defensive coordinator Jimmy Lake and head coach Raheem Morris. There’s more talent on the defensive side of the football than the Falcons likely get credit for, and with the Eagles missing a key weapon in A.J. Brown, that should give Atlanta less to think about. The Eagles and Falcons have plenty of talent, and these coaching staffs will be responsible for limiting the damage. With how we envision things playing out, it’s not hard to look toward a 23-20 finish with the number falling just shy of the over.

Falcons vs. Eagles Best Player Props

Kyle Pitts Anytime Touchdown (+250)

We saw it in Week 1, where Kyle Pitts was on the field for nearly 100% of the offensive snaps. That’s a big step up from last year under Arthur Smith, where Pitts struggled not only to get targets but also to get on the field in offensive situations. Pitts found a way into the endzone in Week 1 against Pittsburgh, and he will have a role in the red zone as one of Kirk Cousins’s top targets. You’re not getting much value with the Falcons in the touchdown market besides Pitts, whose price tag stands out like a sore thumb in this matchup.
