It’s another rematch of an AFC North rivalry between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals. The Steelers enter this road clash with five victories over their last six games, while the Bengals are struggling to stay in the playoff mix with two straight losses. The Bengals need to show urgency from the opening kickoff, knowing that the Steelers have played like one of the NFL’s most consistent teams this year. The Bengals can do a little bit of everything on offense, which should give the Steelers some pause. If Joe Burrow has time and space in the pocket, it could be a long afternoon for the current AFC North leaders. As much as the Bengals defense has plenty of question marks, the Steelers pass rush hasn’t been nearly as effective as we’ve grown to expect. The sack numbers are down, and that’s something this Bengals team will happily hope continues. I’ve said that I expected the Bengals and Steelers to split their home games this year, and I’m not about to change my tune now, especially with a desperate Cincy team coming off a bye.

You’d not often expect a shootout between these AFC North foes, but that could very much be in the cards come Sunday. The Bengals’ defense has been atrocious this year, while their offense has been carving teams up left and right. Despite the Steelers’ defense having plenty of elite tendencies, getting to the quarterback hasn’t been one this year. That will be a problem against Burrow and this high-end Bengals group of playmakers. Offense should be plentiful from the Bengals, and we’ve already discussed how much of a struggle it’s been for Cincinnati defensively. All in all, that’s a recipe for plenty of points on Sunday.
