1. Ben Johnson
After choosing to stay with the Lions last offseason as their offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson now seems poised to make the leap into the head coaching ranks. Word around the league is that the Chicago Bears openings has caught his eye. With Johnson widely regarded as one of the most sought-after names this offseason, could another team step in and make a compelling pitch to land him?
2. Mike McCarthy
Say what you will about Mike McCarthy as a head coach, but his track record speaks for itself. With McCarthy and the Cowboys being unable to come to terms on a contract extension, there's little doubt he'll quickly find himself in the mix for another head coaching job.
3. Aaron Glenn
While Ben Johnson often steals the spotlight for the Lions, Aaron Glenn deserves just as much recognition. When the defense was at full strength, it was operating at a high level under Glenn's guidance. Despite limited personnel, he’s been instrumental in putting Detroit in position for a deep playoff push.

4. Brian Flores
Brian Flores has done a masterful job revitalizing the Vikings' defense, and there's no denying his impact. Even with an early playoff exit, that shouldn't alter him getting interviews. He's earned consideration for another head coaching opportunity, but it’s fair to wonder if his skill set is better suited for life as an elite coordinator. Could it be that Flores is one of those rare talents who thrives in a specialized role rather than the broader responsibilities of a head coach? It’s a question worth exploring as his name inevitably comes up in coaching conversations.
5. Kliff Kingsbury
After a strong season with the Commanders, could Kliff Kingsbury find himself back in the mix for an NFL head coaching job? It's certainly on the table. Kingsbury has shown noticeable growth, clearly applying lessons from his first stint and adapting his approach to fit the ever-evolving modern NFL.
6. Joe Brady
Based on Joe Brady's work with the Bills' offense this season, it's hard to imagine his phone won't be ringing when the offseason coaching carousel gets underway. Sure, having an elite quarterback running the show helps, but that doesn't take away from the sharp adjustments and consistent success we've seen from Brady throughout the year.
7. Bobby Slowik
A year ago, if you’d asked me about Bobby Slowik, I’d have been much higher on him, especially considering what the Texans’ offense managed to pull off. Don’t get me wrong—he’s still got plenty of potential—but my confidence in his long-term upside has cooled a bit.
