32. Charlie Elick (D) - New York Rangers
The New York Rangers have the luxury of being in a great position when it comes to their present and future. This gives them the ability to select a defenseman in this range with a home run swing, rather than projecting for safety.
1. Macklin Celebrini (C) - San Jose Sharks
This decision is clear-cut for the San Jose Sharks. After winning the draft lottery, they select Macklin Celebrini as the new face of their franchise. Celebrini is widely considered the top prospect in this draft class, providing the Sharks with the key player they need to jumpstart their rebuild.

2. Ivan Demidov (RW) - Chicago Blackhawks
The decision for the Chicago Blackhawks will likely come down to Ivan Demidov and Artyom Levshunov. Should they choose the potential point-per-game winger to pair with Connor Bedard, or the high-end two-way defenseman? The Blackhawks opt for Bedard's new linemate.
3. Artyom Levshunov (D) - Anaheim Ducks
After Celebrini is selected, predicting the rest of the top 10 becomes challenging. While we have a good sense of the key names, their exact placements are uncertain. With Artyom Levshunov still available, the Ducks eagerly seize the opportunity to pick him.
4. Anton Silayev (D) - Columbus Blue Jackets
It's difficult not to be impressed with the package that Anton Silayev brings to the table. With Don Waddell taking the reigns in Columbus, he puts his stamp on the team with this big defenseman.
5. Beckett Sennecke (RW) - Montreal Canadiens
With some concerns over Cayden Lindstrom's back, the Montreal Canadiens swing for the fences with a big, skilled forward in Beckett Sennecke. Even though his numbers won't wow you, Sennecke put together a dominant second half and postseason for the Oshawa Generals. The trend of the Habs taking a late rising prospect continues.
6. Zeev Buium (D) - Utah
Zeev Buium has climbed significantly in the 2024 NHL Draft rankings thanks to his consistently stellar performances in the WJC and Frozen Four. Offering top-tier offense and the potential to log major minutes in the NHL, Buium has become a highly coveted prospect for Utah.
7. Zayne Parekh (D) - Ottawa Senators
Steve Staios possesses unparalleled knowledge of the OHL, so it's no surprise that he would select a defenseman from that league. The Ottawa Senators have recognized Zayne Parekh's point-producing potential and are pleased to choose him as a cornerstone for their future.
8. Sam Dickinson (D) - Seattle Kraken
It won't be a surprise to see the Seattle Kraken add a defenseman to their system that projects like Sam Dickinson does. The talented two-way defender has continued to impress for London.
9. Cayden Lindstrom (C) - Calgary Flames
There are some real question marks about Cayden Lindstrom's back injury history. We should have more clarity at the NHL Scouting Combine, but until then, it's hard to project where he'll land. If he's available, you'd have to imagine the Calgary Flames would be thrilled.
10. Konsta Helenius (C) - New Jersey Devils
It's well-known that playoff success hinges on strong center depth and big, mobile defensemen. Konsta Helenius offers the New Jersey Devils the potential to feature one of the best top-three center combinations in the NHL.
11. Tij Iginla (F) - Buffalo Sabres
After selecting smaller skilled players of late, the Buffalo Sabres are happy to see a strong and talented winger like Tij Iginila fall to them. He's not the biggest, but that doesn't reflect in how he plays the game.
12. Carter Yakemchuk (D) - Philadelphia Flyers
The Philadelphia Flyers are still in the early stages of their rebuild, even if their finish in the standings last year doesn't reflect that. Carter Yakemchuk is the best player on the board here, and the Flyers wisely don't pass him up.
13. Berkly Catton (C) - Minnesota Wild
Although we previously considered a defenseman, the Minnesota Wild now opt for a dynamic center in Berkly Catton. Don't be deceived by his smaller frame; this prospect is a true talent.
14. Cole Eiserman (LW) - San Jose Sharks via Pittsburgh
Cole Eiserman's goal-scoring prowess is undeniable. Although he is arguably the best pure goal scorer in this draft class, his weaknesses away from the puck are likely to keep him out of the top ten. The San Jose Sharks are willing to take a chance on him, hoping he develops well as they begin their rebuild.
15. Michael Brandsegg-Nygard (RW) - Detroit Red Wings
Under Steve Yzerman's leadership, the Detroit Red Wings have demonstrated a clear draft strategy, and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard fits that mold perfectly. While some question his overall skill level, he's a gritty forward who excels in the offensive zone with his strong forechecking ability.

16. Adam Jiricek (D) - St. Louis Blues
Despite his season being cut short by injury, Adam Jiricek possesses many qualities that make him a promising NHL defenseman. While he may not be flashy, his skillset projects him as a reliable top-four defenseman for an NHL team.

17. Stian Solberg (D) - Washington Capitals
The Washington Capitals need to bolster their defensive prospects. Addressing this crucial need, Stian Solberg is arguably the best player available, particularly given his recent climb in the rankings over the past few months.
18. Liam Greentree (LW) - Chicago Blackhawks
With several smaller forwards currently projected at the top of their lineup, the Blackhawks could use an infusion of size and skill. That's why they select Liam Greentree here.
19. Trevor Connelly (LW) - Vegas Golden Knights
Trevor Connelly has top ten talent in this draft class, but his off-ice character has raised some concerns. The Golden Knights, known for their bold decisions, make headlines again by selecting him.
20. Igor Chernyshov (RW) - New York Islanders
Although you might not think of Russian forward prospects when it comes to the New York Islanders, they lack skill up front, and Igor Chernyshov possesses that type of potential in spades.
21. Jett Luchanko (C) - Los Angeles Kings
The Los Angeles Kings aren't getting any younger at the center position, with some key decisions coming down the line. With that in mind, they add a talented center prospect in Jett Luchanko.
22. Cole Beaudoin (C) - Nashville Predators
The Nashville Predators are a good fit for the type of forward prospect Cole Beaudoin is. He won't wow you with his skill, but his physical traits are off the charts.
23. E.J. Emery (D) - Toronto Maple Leafs
The Toronto Maple Leafs new brass has a different mindset when it comes to how they want to build this roster. Adding E.J. Emery fits in with the tools they currently desire.
24. Nikita Artamonov (LW) - Colorado Avalanche
The Colorado Avalanche lack skilled forward prospects in their system. Nikita Artamonov addresses this need directly, bringing high-risk, high-reward potential.
25. Michael Hage (C) - Ottawa Senators
After selecting a defenseman in the top ten, the Ottawa Senators turn their attention to bolstering their center depth. Despite already having some promising young forwards, Michael Hage's talent is too exceptional to pass up at this stage.
26. Sacha Boisvert (C) - Montreal Canadiens
For the past 20 years, the Montreal Canadiens have focused on bolstering their center depth. After selecting Beckett Sennecke in the top five, they further strengthen their offensive core by adding Sacha Boisvert.
27. Yegor Surin (C) - Carolina Hurricanes
The Carolina Hurricanes boast a strong roster poised to conquer the final hurdle in the Eastern Conference. Yegor Surin is projected to be a player who can contribute to their success, potentially in the near future.
28. Dominik Badinka (D) - Calgary Flames
Dominik Badinka possesses many of the qualities desired in a potential top-four NHL defenseman. The Flames add another potential staple to their defensive core.
29. Sam O'Reilly (C) - Anaheim Ducks
Sam O'Reilly is the type of prospect that aligns well with the direction this organization is heading. The Ducks appreciate his potential, and his winning experience in London is a definite plus.
30. Dean Letourneau (C) - Philadelphia Flyers
With multiple first-round picks, the Philadelphia Flyers have the chance to take a bold risk with this selection. Dean Letourneau, a massive center out of St. Andrews College, possesses a high ceiling.
31. Linus Eriksson (C) - Dallas Stars
If there's one team that's consistently discovered hidden gems over the past decade, it's the Dallas Stars. They're looking to do it again with the selection of center Linus Eriksson.
