Baltimore Ravens Defensive Line and Associate Head Coach Anthony Weaver
Unlike multiple candidates on our list, Anthony Weaver doesn't specialize in offense. Weaver currently resides with the Baltimore Ravens as their defensive line and associate head coach. The Falcons' defense has some worthwhile pieces to build around, but more still needs to be added in free agency and the draft. There's a case to be made that a candidate like Weaver could help balance out this team on both sides of the football.
Former New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick
Early reports suggest that the Atlanta Falcons will try to make a run at Bill Belichick. Falcons owner Arthur Blank will have to open up his checkbook for that to come to fruition, but Atlanta being the first name tied to the legendary Belichick isn't a bad thing. If the Falcons ownership group can somehow make this happen, they'll assuredly be headed in a more positive direction as a franchise.
Detroit Lions Offensive Coordinator Ben Johnson
With the pieces that the Falcons boast on offense in Bijan Robinson, Drake London, and Kyle Pitts, this is a dream scenario for an offensive guru like Ben Johnson. The Falcons have already requested an interview for Johnson, who's getting attention for multiple head coach openings. Although the Falcons are still in dire need of a franchise quarterback, think of the potential of this offense with Johnson in charge.
Cincinnati Bengals Offensive Coordinator Brian Callahan
Brian Callahan has been a key factor in helping turn the tide with the Cincinnati Bengals offense. Yes, having a franchise quarterback helps in Joe Burrow, but the offense continued to find success with Jake Browning under center. Callahan is an interesting name that's out there for multiple head coaching jobs, and the fit with the Falcons makes a lot of sense for both sides.
Houston Texans Offensive Coordinator Bobby Slowik
Bobby Slowik, who comes from the coaching tree of Kyle Shanahan in San Francisco, spent six years with the 49ers, primarily with the offense, from 2017 to 2022. In 2023, Slowik took on the role of offensive coordinator for the Houston Texans, and he quickly made an impact, particularly in helping rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud make the jump to the pros. Now, the question arises: can Slowik replicate that success with a Falcons offense that's still searching for a QB?
