Fresh off their historic upset over the record-setting Boston Bruins in Round 1 of the NHL playoffs, the Florida Panthers could be making a surprising change in goal for the start of Round 2.
No indication that Alex Lyon is starting. Just an observation. Sergei Bobrovsky won the last three games in the series vs. Boston.

NHL insider Chris Johnston reports Alex Lyon was the first goaltender off the ice during the Panthers’ morning skate as the team readies for Tuesday’s Game 1 versus the Toronto Maple Leafs.
While the first goalie off the ice is usually a strong indication, Florida head coach Paul Maurice has yet to officially announce a starter.
Lyon started the first three games against Boston, going 1-2 with a .902 save percentage and a 3.26 goals-against average. The 30-year-old was subsequently replaced by Sergei Bobrovsky, who backstopped Florida to three straight victories.
A former undrafted free agent, Lyon made 15 starts for the Panthers during the regular season, recording a 2.89 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage.
FanDuel Sportsbook currently has the Panthers at +142 on the moneyline.Â
