Jonathan Marchessault to Record Over 0.5 Points (-166)
It’s been a playoff run to remember for Vegas Golden Knights winger Jonathan Marchessault. The former Panther has a chance to put the nail in the coffin of his former club, and there’s value in backing him to do just that tonight. Marchessault is the current odds-on favorite to take home the Conn Smythe trophy, which has seen him tally eight points over their last five games to lead the team. His high skill levels have been highly evident in this series, and we like for that to continue in Game 5 tonight. Marchessault has not only scored in three of the four games in the Stanley Cup Final but he’s also recorded at least a point in all four games. As a result, we like the present value, even with the juiced price tag of -166, for him to find his way onto the scoresheet tonight.
Aleksander Barkov to Record Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-144)
The offense hasn’t been there for Aleksander Barkov throughout the Stanley Cup Final, where he’s tallied just two points over the four games. It’s not as though the Panthers have relied entirely on him for that, knowing he also brings Selke-level defense to the table. Looking at Barkov’s shots on goal in this series, there’s a trend developing of late, which has seen him record three or more shots on goal in two of the last three games. Barkov is coming off a six-shot performance in Game 4, and there’s value in backing him to go over 2.5 shots tonight at -144.
Anthony Duclair to Record Under 1.5 Shots on Goal (+116)
It’s also dicey when looking at a really low number for an NHL players shots on goal. In saying that, when we see trends like the ones we’re seeing with Florida Panthers winger Anthony Duclair, we have no choice but to at least consider the prop. In four games of the Stanley Cup Final, Duclair has recorded fewer than two shots on goal in three contests. Duclair’s shot prop tonight is set at 1.5, and despite that number being low, he just hasn’t brought the consistency to the table that’s been needed. As a result, we like the value that backing this plus-money price presents.
