AL Wild Card 3 - Detroit Tigers +160 (to make playoffs)
The Tigers are not favored to make the postseason and it will take them hitting on all the veteran pitching they signed. However, the AL Central will not cannibalize themselves like the East and West. The Tigers could sneak into the wild card spot, although winning the division may be an easier path.
Check out the Tigers batting order and ace pitcher for 2024.
AL East - Baltimore Orioles +180
The Orioles are not the betting favorite; the Yankees are. However, Baltimore is not dealing with the injury issues that New York is to start the season. The young O’s have experience winning the division and have added former Brewers ace Corbin Burnes to enhance the rotation.

AL Central - Minnesota Twins -125
The Twins are looking for another AL Central title and are the favorite to do so. There are some teams who can surprise in the division in 2024, but this is Minnesota's show until proven otherwise.
AL West - Houston Astros -110
The Astros are big favorites in the AL West. On paper, they are the most talented team in the division despite the rival Texas Rangers winning it all last year. Houston also has a history of adding difference-makers at the deadline. It may not be as easy as years past with the Rangers and Mariners getting better, but Houston still rules the West.

AL Wild Card 1 - New York Yankees -550 (to make playoffs)
The Yankees are still the Yankees, and despite injuries to Gerrit Cole and DJ Lemahieu to start the season, they did improve the roster. Superstar Juan Soto and a healthy Anthony Rizzo, along with Alex Verdugo, upgrading the left field position will make the lineup better. Now, if Cole is out for longer than expected, things may change in the Bronx.

AL Wild Card 2 - Seattle Mariners -230 (to make playoffs)
The Mariners have a deep and talented pitching staff and a star in Julio Rodriguez. Do they have enough to take down Houston in the division? Probably not, but Seattle should make the postseason again in 2024.
