MLB Betting Guide for April 17: Dominant Ace in Oakland?

We have 16 MLB games stretching throuhgout the entire day, so let’s dive into all the action.

Kicking off the afternoon, the Baltimore Orioles, New York Mets, Milwaukee Brewers, and Atlanta Braves will all be going for the sweep of their series. Looking at the Mets in particular, is it time we start considering them players in the NL Wild Card chase? I personally won’t go that far yet, but they certainly have been impressive as of late after a start that could of buried the clubhouse.

In the late-afternoon window, the slumping New York Yankees will aim to avoid being swept by the Toronto Blue Jays while Paul Blackburn will look to continue to dominate for the Oakland A’s as they face the St. Louis Cardinals in their series finale. Could an Athletic really win the Cy Young, or will the organization just opt to sell high at the trade deadline?

Later on, the Philadelphia Phillies will look to pick up another win over the Colorado Rockies and the Los Angeles Dodgers will be back in action against the Washington Nationals, hoping for much-needed pitching depth to arrive.
