MLB Betting Guide for August 14: Mookie’s Back, Dodgers Back Too?

All 30 MLB teams are in action today, so let’s dive into all the action set for the night ahead.

Kicking off in the afternoon, we have a pair of games as the Minnesota Twins will look to sweep the Kansas City Royals, and the Arizona Diamondbacks will look to extend their winning streak to six games against the Colorado Rockies.

Shifting gears to the night slate, the Pittsburgh Pirates will look to avoid their losing streak going to ten games as they’ll throw Mitch Keller on the mound to face the San Diego Padres, and the Philadelphia Phillies will hope to put together some momentum to break out of their slump against the Miami Marlins. 

Additionally, in the American League, the Cleveland Guardians are back on top of the standings amidst their series with the Chicago Cubs as the New York Yankees own a half-game lead over the Baltimore Orioles. Plus, behind them, the Houston Astros continue to surge as they’re in the middle of a seven-game winning streak, so we worked up a +1200 ultimate same-game parlay in their game with the Tampa Bay Rays tonight.

Over in the National League, the Los Angeles Dodgers find themselves atop the standings as they hold a 1.5-game lead over the Philadelphia Phillies. With things crumbling in Philly, the Dodgers’ recent surge and return of Mookie Betts have their odds surging. Is the National League now theirs to lose?
