MLB Betting Guide for July 1: Can Mets Pull Off Playoff Run?

After an entertaining weekend of baseball around the MLB, we have a small three-game slate set for today, so let’s dive into everything there is to know about the slate ahead.

Kicking off the day, the Toronto Blue Jays will host the Houston Astros in a fun matchup north of the border. For the first time this season, the Astros own a record above the .500 mark, so as we approach the trade deadline, it will be exciting to see how the Astros shift from being potential sellers to aggressive buyers to continue to climb up the AL standings. For tonight, we worked up a +850 ultimate same-game parlay as we’re expecting another dominant game for the Astros.

Later on, we have NL East baseball in DC as the Washington Nationals will welcome the New York Mets to town. The Mets have been playing the much better baseball of late as they are just two games back of the final NL Wild Card spot. Everything is coming together better than expected for the Mets, so put together those Mets’ playoff futures while you still can! On the other end, the Nationals briefly flirted with a .500 record before their slump over the past week.

To close out the night, the Milwaukee Brewers and Colorado Rockies will face off in Coors for potentially a high-scoring showdown in the altitude.

It should be a great day of baseball, so stay with SportsGrid to be covered on everything that will be thrown at us. Let’s ride!
